Bundesliga 2017/18

I don't see the fuzz about him. "Sacking" him is reasonable, as he's not the guy to get Leipzig to the next level. I could see him join FFM.

Adolf H. from Austria to lead Frankfurt to glory!

He's an interesting choice to say the least. . . . An attacking manager unlike the Croat Mourinho taking over at Bayern.

Has just won the Swiss league with Young Boys (their first championship since 1986) . . . 13 points clear with one match left. Also has a chance of the double in the Swiss cup final on 27 May.

Here he is scoring against his new club in 1994.

That’s pretty remarkable as Basel seem to dominate that league

Great appointment by Frankfurt, I was worried they would go for Bilic of all people:wenger:

Meanwhile, Favre to Dortmund is all but confirmed. Favre said last week those are rumours, but Watzke has come out and said they know who they are getting and now, the usually reliable German press is reporting that Favre has vetoed signing Lichtsteiner on a free.

Lichtsteiner was reported to be as good as done and he personally confirmed talks today, but said they didn't come together. Since the Dortmund bosses wanted him clearly, the reason for that being a veto by Favre is highly likely.

Favre likes some experienced players in his teams like Stranzl or Raffael, but he is also a big developer of young talent and I could easily see why having two RB in their mid-30s would not fit to his future vision for Dortmund.

I am now hoping for the confirmation of Balotelli to Dortmund, that would guarantee some very exciting years in one way or another and he is the better choice than Batshuayi anyway. No big injury, free transfer vs 60m for half a season of perfomances, better technically, great under Favre etc. Make it happen!

Anyone watch the play off tonight? Only saw it from 3-1 (tuned in the moment Malli scored actually) but thought Kiel played quite well and they really should've made the score 3-2 with the chances they missed near the end.

Still got a chance if they score first on Monday.

Guess Wolfsburg are staying up again, but they are gonna be the next Hamburg in the near future. They are always on the edge.

Actually Wolfsburg played pretty good the first 60 to 70 minutes and you saw the differences between a team that should fight for Europe and not for relegation and a 2nd league team. But somehow they did not keep that up for the last 20 minutes.

DFB Pokal final.

Very much looking forward to this and although the heart says Eintracht the head goes with Bayern. I expect a defeat but in the hope that Bayern have to work hard for their victory. If Eintracht do win then I will win €150 from the bookies.

:)

What a finish that was under pressure, poor stuff from James to loose the ball in that situation but great pressing as well from Frankfurt.

Just tuned in after the FA Cup & saw the opening goal - Nice finish that! Rooting for Frankfurt, because y'know, underdogs n all.

Close from Muller.

thas was Süle. he is the biggest player on the pitch while Thiago is the smallest  so I guess your stream must be pretty bad;)

Thiago? Do you mean the pass to James? That was by Sule. I think its more the credit to team effort by Frankurt to close him down so high up the pitch, i don't think Bayern have expected this.
My Bayern autocorrect kicked in, from seeing Thiago give the ball away so often. :wenger:

Great play by Rebic

Another assist this season by Kimmich, what a fantastic player he is. Hope he plays well in the WC.

Frankfurt back in the lead! ... Or are they?! VAR review.

Edit: Yes they are!

Woah was just waiting for Bayern to score then this happens.

nvm. VAR interruption. No goal.

Cheeky edit: Goal after all. Frankfurt might win this now. 7 minutes to go.

Did the ARD guy just say that Salihamidzicz shoved Kovac at the sidelines?

Bayern denied a 50/50 penalty in the 4th minute of extra time after video review, 10 seconds later Frankfurt score

Game over. Frankfurt won the thing.

Oh god, VAR to decide a penalty decision after added time...
