Bundesliga 2017/18

Brandt and Goretzka are almost certain to join next summer right?
Who knows if there won't be a change to our transfer business after this season, depends on how disastrous it turns out exactly.

Also, congratulations to Dortmund, german champions 2018.

Brandt and Goretzka are almost certain to join next summer right?

There have been reports over the last couple of years that would suggest so but I would not be too sure. For example, Brandt was Reschke's favourite, Reschke's not at Bayern anymore.

5 year contract for sagnol please!

Tuchel trying to chase down Dortmund with Bayern would be some twist. I guess Tuchel will negotiate a massive termination fee for next summer, to ensure Bayern won´t use him as a stop gap. That will probably be the hardest part of the negotiations. Then Nagelsmann is not helping himself with the European shitshows at Hoffenheim. Four games, four defeats.

True but simply getting a new coach won't solve the problem. You guys need new blood, especially in attack.

17 months ago Simeone told we were the best team they ever played against... even if we could not convert our chances as Oblak had a fantastic day and our strikers did not. But it was not just Simeone that thought like this. Real in that season for sure was not better...

Robben was injured that season and Ribery never really fit.

17 months later everybody is not good enough anymore???

Yes, we need new wingers and like any team fresh blood every year. But the difference will be a coach that matches to the team. One that does real trainings, not that Arjen can think that they did more in U13 or that the captains have to go to Rummenigge because they want to exercise more...

Not la famiglia where the best friend and chainsmoker who even needs to be told not to smoke in the teamroom is the fitnesscoach, where the son is the assistant coach, the daughter's husband the nutritionist, the son of the chainsmoker the assistant fitness coach..

Trainings in which you do not just play or exercise crosses even if your strikers and midfielders aren't the big heading specialists.

Real tactical training, video sessions prior to matches that take longer than 5 to 8 minutes. Different tactics for different matches and opponents and a plan if the opponent adapts or changes its tactics.

Back to a system that is based on positioning and the right passing, coordinated pressing and gegenpressing, back onto the path this team and the players were on since 2009 until the begin of last season... not to 11 individualists that have to guess what there fellow players will do because there is no real system or plan...

A racecar needs gas and maintenance if you want it to function continously...

I do not even think the players would have problems with Tuchel. It is the bosses and the press who are the biggest danger...

Makes you wonder how such a nepotistic oaf won three CLs, guess they must have fallen into his lap.

Are they gonna keep Sagnol for the whole season or hire Tuchel immediately?
According to some news outlets Rummenigge and Hoeneß are arguing about this at the very moment. With Rummenigge wanting to hire Tuchel now, while Hoeneß would prefer to wait for Nagelsmann.

But I don't consider the Munich Abendzeitung a very reliable source so take it with a pinch of salt.

If he was talking about some nobody i would have taken that seriously, but Ancelotti? The guy who managed Real Madrid's dressing room among others. Something was not right there, and it's not just the manager.

You know there are serious problems when Robben and Ribery complain that they want to train more and harder. :D

Kicker reports the players held private workouts away from the training grounds to maintain their fitness level, and it was basically every senior player starting with Lahm/Alonso last season and continued into this season with Robben saying his son in the U12 had harder training.

They should bring back Felix Magath.

The biggest problem for Bayern is really that they still do not have a single replacement for Ribery/Robben. They have like two dozen defenders and defensive midfielders, but their top young talent is Coman, who is not good enough to be a ballboy for Mbappe and Dembele.

1-1 FT. Second point in the league for Cologne.
Edit: Cologne lost right at the end!

Drama in the game. First a video review denied penalty for Cologne in 89th minute and then an injury time winner for Stuttgart.
Mental end to the game.

Pretty heartbreaking stuff for Cologne (if you like them). Not that they are playing particularly well, but not nearly one point out of eight matches bad - the football gods are pretty cruel to them this season. Stöger is probably as good as gone, despite the team still looking sort of functioning.

Heynckes team for the first match:

Martinez - Thiago
Robben - Müller - Coman
Lewandowski

Kwasi Okyere Wriedt on the bench is the goalgetter of the U23.
