Dominik Kohr out for several weeks

Dominik Kohr will be out for several weeks after being on the end of a strong challenge, shortly before the final whistle in Sunday's encounter with Mainz. The midfielder had to be subbed off after the foul.

After receiving treatment in the stadium from team doctors Andreas Weigel, Peter Stiller and Florian Elser, Kohr was taken to hospital where it was confirmed that he had suffered an almost 14cm large laceration to his shin, leaving his bone exposed. Some muscle and tendons were also affected in the challenge and as a result, Dr. Florian Elser and Dr. Oliver Herrmann had to complete an operation on Kohr. His bone has not been fractured.

He will certainly be out for a number of weeks but the exact time is not yet clear because the healing process for the muscle is different from the tissue.

"This injury is not only unnecessary but also very damaging for Domink Kohr and our team. We are all hoping for Dominik that his recovery goes well and that he will be back as quickly as possible. We're sure that Dominik will come back stronger," said Stefan Reuter, Sporting Director of FCA.

"I will only be looking ahead and hope that I will be fit again as quickly as possible. I am glad that nothing is broken but now I have to be patient to see how my recovery goes;" said Dominik Kohr on the day after his operation.

Chicharito just missed last minute penalty.

Apparently, an Eintracht fan used a laser pointer on him right before he shot it.

Ah, I mean, Bremen will surely react and pull things around!

...am I doing this right? :p
A few years ago losing to Mainz was the death knell for managers. Quite a few were sacked right after their game with us. Now it's averaging out (or they caught on to us) and we get to play teams in high spirits after a management change. Funnily enough, Skripnik had his first game against us - and won, of course.

I'm expecting something similar to happen on Wednesday, it's how this goes. The only good thing is that their defence is not Bundesliga standard and that doesn't change with the manager.

5 matches ban and a 10000€ fine (plus club-internal fine) for Jose 'the butcher' Rodriguez.

From what I heard not as bad as first feared. An ugly flesh wound but apparently no damage to the bones.
He got lucky. No bone damage and only out 4 to 6 weeks.
Btw, I think the only 'luck' in this case is that there is no additional bone damage. A broken fibula without extensive damage to the surrounding tissue would have been less severe than the damage to the muscles and strings is; the injury reaches through skin and muscle to the bone.

I'd have given him double of that to be fair.

How's Bartra been?
Showing glimpses of his potential being our first class replacement for Hummels. But had also a mediocre performance against RB Leipzig, but to excuse everybody was not so good in this match. Will see how today its going.

4 Players under 22 years in our line up. In general our team is quite young.

Pulisic with his third consecutive start for us. The boy makes a pretty impressive case for himself right now. So much for the people fearing he would not get enough time to develop with us.

Only natural when you sign eight new players and none of them is older than 25. Tuchel is clearly building the future squad right now. Pisczu is the only field player over 30 and behind him we have a 18 year old waiting to succeed him.

These people seems to not watch our games. It was clear from the beginning: we have developed him and Passlack till the point we use him, and now we use him, and yes we rotate and dont play football like in the stoneage, so he will get playtime, its clear.

Seeing Kuba leading Wolfsburg as captain onto the field makes me really sad :(

I completely understand his decision to leave us for more play time, but did it have to be the "Golfs"?

Dortmund will rip Wolfsburg to pieces. I can smell another 5:0. They look absolutely on fire and Wolfsburg is a defensive catastrophe.

BVB outperformed us completely on the transfer market. Guerreiro and Dembele already look like super star quality while Sanches has been useless. Damn it.

He'll probably come good, though, sadly.

I just hope it happens before Alonso dies of old age or, god forbid, Vidal gets injured. We're looking awfully thin in midfield compared to a couple of years ago unless Martinez finally makes his return as the titanic DM that he is.

Dammit, the one position we have not that much depth in at the moment. Bitter for Bartra.

Good grief, Wolfsburg

When do we play Dortmund? I hope it's not anytime soon. Jesus.

Aubameyang is a beast. Woflsburg defending is gash.

As great as Dortmund are atm I can't believe how quickly Wolfsburg has fallen back to being complete shit.
