Bundesliga 2016/17

"fc steuern münchen" will get some asskick next season!

steuern = taxes.
refering to the fact that a lot of people there have issues with the law: ribery sex with a teenager, rummenige smuggled a rolex from katar in to the country, and the well known thing: hoeness went into the prison cause of millions of taxes he tried to hide. and i bet beckenbauer made a lot of illegal things with the fifa and stuff like that.
its a club full of criminals.

steuern = taxes.

I know...
The lame "Steuern" insults lost a lot of their past panache though, so I thought you'd come up with something more ingenious or modern to express your disgust for Bayern.

A club full of criminals :boring:

at the monent its enough for me to see how lewandowski and kucharski play their games with the wannabe-mega-club bayern :D
waiting for the statement "bayern is only a regional appearance, but real madrid is a realy great club"

You're boring, we need better Bundesliga wums.

God, I miss Anchan sometimes. :(

Good luck with that.

hmm think he just have to repeat the words of kroos for that.
Kroos hasn't said anything disrespectful about Bayern since his move to Real. At least I can't remember anything that annoyed me.

Yeah like you said, nothing really wrong with it. He didn't say anything bad about Bayern and I don't feel offended if a player says Real is the biggest club in the world and above every other club. That's simply true. I'm not delusional, I've said it often enough myself.

That. And I imagine Madrid fans would have been offended otherwise, so what was he going to do.

Wolfsburg really is in trouble. Rodriguez's comments make it clear that he's definitely gone this summer. It sounds like Arsenal is the most likely destination. Naldo is already gone, so their defense needs a complete overhaul. I really wonder if they can keep Draxler and Schürrle now. It doesn't look as if they can attract genuine talents at the moment.

I'm surprised that they stick with Hecking, could easily see them doing equally bad next season. Then VW needs to make a decision, either cut the funding and give up on the project or start rebuilding again, probably without Allofs and Hecking. Allofs has done an awful job for 7-8 years now. The attempt to rebuild the last great Bremen side was alreay awful and lead them into a consistent relegation battle. And so far at Wolfsburg he mostly just went for obvious signings with VW money. The 14/15 season looks a lot more like coincidence now, solely based on De Bruyne's exceptional form.

Schurrle has said he doesn't want to leave hasn't he?

Issue with Wolfsburg is they haven't really been buying well. Even Draxler has been pretty mediocre in the Bundesliga. They should be rebuilding with youth in mind rather than going for older players, there's plenty of young talent they could snap up in Germany.

I'm not sure it's that easy to attract the quality German talents. Bayern and Dortmund are looking at all those talents as well and then you have Leverkusen, Schalke, Gladbach and now Leipzig as well. The lack of CL/EL doesn't make it easier. Both Schürrle and Draxler have been mediocre or at least inconsistent and they basically need to build their team around them and hope that both finally realise their potential if they want to have any chance to finish top 4. Wolfsburg hasn't unearthed any hidden gems since Allofs took over like Augsburg or Mainz either.

Leipzig has managed to snap them up easily enough. Niklas Stark was available last season and Hertha Berlin got him, Davie Selke the season before and Leipzig got him despite being in Bundesliga 2. Ingolstadt have Bauer and Christiansen, Stuttgart Werner and Baumgartl. List goes on and on.

Granted not all of these players might be ready for Wolfsburg, but you have to take some punts. Some pay off, some don't. But they don't seem to be making any punts nor are they promoting from their youth.

They bought Yannick Gerhardt for next season, but I think they overpaid massively for him. I kinda agree with you, but they couldn't offer these young talents significant playing time last season. And most of the names you mentioned weren't good enough for a team with Wolfsburg's ambition. They were right to try to establish themselves as a top 4 team after finishing 2nd, so buying Draxler and Kruse did make sense. If they went for lots of unproven talents last summer and then failed, we'd criticise why they didn't go for more experienced players. It's really difficult to find that balance. Obviously some of their transfers were stupid and like I said, Allofs has become pretty bad at his job. I don't want to defend him too much, but I really think they're in a bad position to attract the German talents who are good enough for a top 4 team now. Last summer was the big chance and they needed Draxler, Schürrle to step up to the challenge. They didn't.

Had no idea wolfsburg signed gerhardt. Expected to be a starter?

Would RR leaving really be that bad? I thought his last season wasn't great at all and with €30m or whatever his clause is they could do a lot of shopping.

He wasn't as great as in the previous seasons, but he's still a very good fullback and those are rare. They've already lost their best centerback, the defense looks really awful if RR leaves as well. The money helps a bit but they'll end up with someone significantly weaker and I can't see them attracting significant upgrades in other positions to make up for it.

Same position as Arnold so dunno. They were playing Seguin a bit at the end of the season so perhaps they don't think he's cut out and replacing him.
They also signed Didavi, who's best as an AM in my opinion. Gustavo might want to leave as well, then they have to rebuild their whole CM anyway, but I can't see Arnold or Gebhardt work in a midfield 2 with Guilavogui.

It just looks as if they have lots of squad players without real quality. Without playing in Europe, they need the exact opposite.

I feel like that's typical Allofs (at least at Wolfsburg): buy a shit ton of players who are okay, but not great for way too much money. They have way too many players who can be ok in a functioning team, but aren't leading players at all.

Lots of options who'll battle it out to make the spot their own it seems.

Apparently Darmstadt are trying to sign Norbert Meier.+

#Legend

 . He was relegated every time he managed a Bundesliga club if I remember correctly. That's just the worst idea possible.

Maybe they have accepted their fate and are already preparing for their relegation battle in the second division.

He has a big offer from China. But he has currently big family problems.

Naldo already gone and i expect Luis Gustavo, Rodriguez, Schürrle, Kruse, Dost & probably Dante will leave the club too.

Imo they must make a fresh start.....the best would be probably without Hecking.

Money must be available if they are buying Gebhart for €13m :wenger:

Kramer on the verge of signing for Gladbach, apparently.

Excellent business. Assuming he can re-discover his old form, Gladbach got a player on Xhaka´s level for €15-20M less.

That squad is deep and a solid mix of experience and youth. Eberl is a master, as long as he doesnn´t buy Dutch strikers.

Hard to tell who´ll be their starters. Maybe

Their bench though will be ridiculously young and a bit soft in defensive midfield. Okay they could use some more veterans there. Interested to see whether Egbo can make some progress.

Well they´ll still have some money left.

I wouldn't put Kramer and Xhaka in the same bracket, the latter is miles ahead on the ball imho and the supposed fee is neither cheap nor terribly expensive.

What do you guys make of Schubert? Seems like a lot of Gladbach fans have mixed feeling towards him.

btw. Hinteregger will return to Salzburg.

Seems to me he had great initial success by building on Favre's foundations but their performances got increasingly volatile the more he worked with them.
Currently I'm not convinced by him at all.

Probably would've gone for Weinzierl had I been in Eberl's shoes, but I think he's caught in the Keller dilemma.

They are a different kind of player. Kramer was the more forward part of their center midfield like Dahoud was. Still undecided on whether they could form a decent pairing or not but it certainely looks rather difficult.

Well they finished the return legs in 4th place, so it wasn´t great, but not bad either. I´d give him another shot. Not like there were an abundance of alternatives. I think if Eberl had seen an attainable better option, he would have moved on it.

Bundesliga's new TV deal has been announced. The rights from 17/18 to 20/21 have been sold for €4.64bn (an 85% increase), together with the profits from international broadcasting rights DFL is expecting at least €1.4bn annually.
