Bundesliga 19/20

Dortmund is must see TV. Crap in defence but with a phenomenal attack too.

The game is intense and entertaining enough, but the amount of turnovers is quite shocking. I think Leverkusen are investing more energy and might tire halfway through the second.

I love watching the Bundesliga at times. I like how much space is afforded to players.

Akanji and Zagadou look really bad individually, yeah. Hummels is not bad but neither is he great

Otherwise they're fine, the pressing is really good. Sancho's vision is pretty special

Dumb foul by Reyna but honestly that was such an obvious dive imho

I do enjoy watching German football, there always seems to be lots of goals. I can never work out if the standard is great, terrible, or they don’t give a shit and just play football.

That seems a harsh VAR though. The refs need to take more responsibility for spotting fouls as the game progresses and I don’t see how that one had any effect on the goal.

Said in the Brandt thread the other day, it seems a player is clear through on goal every 3 minutes in the Bundesliga.

Both teams are "bad" defensively because their players are individually bad at defending

This is the first bundesliga game I’ve watched in a while, it’s always a basketball league type game I end up seeing.

This is absolutely brilliant. The best game I have seen since Spurs & City in the Champions League.

Is it just me but has Dortmund's defending always been suspect ?

Was same under Tuchel. They're like Liverpool before they signed VVD and Alisson.

In Bundesliga and CL they have conceded two or more goals in 12 games this season.

This might sound like an odd question but is that good quality or bad quality? I have no idea.

Seems a commitment to entertainment I can get behind though.

Defensive shape seems to be less involved with some teams ,it seems.
Like, they have a solid idea of how to set-up without the ball but their main tactical focus is always with it (ball).

Its entertaining for while but then it has the danger of appearing noncompetitive.
