Bruno Fernandes | United not interested due to doubts over passing ability

It’s really strange that no one has signed him at this point. There aren’t a lot of rumours going around either, expect the United ones. With those numbers on assists and goals last season you’d expect more clubs to get involved and wanting this guy, but strangely there aren’t.

Asking price too high for other clubs or what’s going on?

If we sign Maguire for even 60 + add ons we have already blown that 100m myth as we signed James and AWB too .

Not when you factor in the potential sale of Lukaku....The net spend figure then is circa £75m
All will be revealed on August 8th, but personally, I just don't get the feeling that there will be more than one more arrival, if any at all.

I suspect that Ed has negotiated so long over £5m that another team (PSG) has now become involved, thereby increasing the price by £10m

he was too cheap. Rojo wasnt rated highly by their fans, in contrary to the other ones and Bruno

I think we’ll only sign him if Pogba goes.I hope we sign him.

Feel he will be a perfect replacement for sneijder, whose contribution for this club will never be forgotten. Bruno has big shoes to fill in.

Can we make Darmian or Rojo part of the deal for Bruno, and Joel Pereira?

Let’s say all three plus 30m pounds?

If any player swapping was involved in the transfer. Who would you like to see move in the opposite direction?
Not sure what Sporting would really need to improve their squad but realistic list includes: Rojo, Darmian and Bailly

We need a striker really bad.

Give us Greenwood with a buy back clause and you got a deal:devil:

I'm all up for that. Getting rid of deadwood and offering them a potential future international #1 in the process as no matter how good Jose said Pereira could become, I don't think he is going to do it here and the £30m would be a nice sweetener to seal the deal.

Looks like he is desperate to sell him for that amount. No one is paying bruno that amount.
Miings went for Almost 30m so 70M for a much better player is doable.

That is how the market is nowadays. I like that he is not selling for 62M. Felix went for "120M" and we are going to sell the best player in the league for 55M? In todays market absolutely not.

What do you think he’s actually worth @SportingCP96 ?

Militao went for what 50m? Surely Bruno is higher rated despite a different position?

Maybe you would take Lukaku for Bruno+15m pounds? Would make sense for United at least.
In our league Lukaku would score 30 a season so I would take that. Realistically his wages would be too much.

All Jokes aside 17 year old Greenwood to Sporting he develops we make him a top striker and you take him back when he is ready to make that #9 position his own. Sounds good to me:devil:

Would definitely give Darmian and Rojo as I feel Darmian is just wasting his career here and cant understand how he is still around because I thought he would definitely leave this summer but I feel he will leave on a free when his contract expires next summer. I've wanted rid of Rojo for a while as he is too injury prone. I'm hoping Bailly will come good but I think he really needs to step up this season or in my opinion he can leave next summer.

In a Normal Market 55M would be a realistic value. In saying that this is NOT a normal Market it is inflated up the Arse.

Militao-50 Jimenez-45M Felix-"120M" Feckin Mings-"30M" If someone can give that much money to a player like Mings for example then someone could give 70M for by far the best player in Portugal.

In todays market 70M is a fair price I reckon and I also feel we would sell him for that price.

If Benfica was the team who had him he would not be sold for anything less then 70M so why would he go for less because ehe plays for Sporting. Tired of selling our players peanuts.

Dream on @SportingCP96

I'd like to ship Rojo back there if possible, not sure what's in it for them though... I'd happily give them Pereira.
Worth a shot:devil:

Rojo we dont need right now we have lots of options for right back.

We need a keeper and I would gladly take Romero though.

We had this discussion multiple times though. Felix was paid for his potential and the best player in portugese league doesn't mean anything. Will go back to our earlier discussion again - how many attacking players have made an instant impact after making the jump from Portugal? For 70m, you expect an immediate impact.

Going by that press note, he is so desperate to sell and I am sure, fee will be around 50-60m rather than this quoted 75m. Created lot of fake interest by linking city, spurs, liverpool, PSG yet no one has actually put any bid.

All jokes aside, Greenwood may probably be a squad player for us this season (i wouldnt be surprised if he gets like 20-25 starts in all competitions as well as 15 sub appearances - although more likely as a right forward). It will be good for his development to stay here and play a significant role this season.
However, if we were talking Angel Gomes, fine.

Marcos Rojo never played as a RB for United (pretty sure that for Argentina either). It's either CB or LB (he plays better at CB certainly).

Now we're talking. Have you heard of this young up and comer - Lee Grant? In all seriousness though, would you have Joel?

Joel would not move the asking price for Bruno down at all to be honest. We have a promising keeper in our ranks named Max who I am sure the fans would rather see him given games than Joel. Joel also did not impress at Setubel either.

I honestly think Romero would be a good addition to the deal. We need a good keeper like people need water to survive.

I think so too Greenwood is in a position to play a decent amount of games this season at United. Hopefully the lad really kicks on.

Wouldn't like to see Gomes go myself. As he is in the final year of his contract I think e should keep him here, give him as many minutes as possible, tell him how much of an important player he could become for us in the future and basically do whatever we can to get him to sign new contract. I cant understand why we left a player as talented Gomes get into the last year of his deal, this should have been sorted a long time ago.:annoyed:

If rumours are true about Barca wanting him for a while they will think they have a good opportunity of swooping in next summer. A midfield of Gomes, De Jong and Arthur just would not be fair to anybody else.

True, Joel isn't worth that much and wouldn't really affect the deal.

Yeah, you're probably right - who's to say that's not happening

You keep using Mings as an example but that's not realistic. The premier league is it's own bubble. Our teams can afford to reject 20m+ for average players if they want too. Other countries cannot do that. Just because that happened doesn't mean you should expect extra for all players.

But how do you expect to see more of Gomes if we plan to play Lingard and Mata as a CAM instead? Also, Bruno Fernandes may also play there if he joins, and Alexis can play there as well (let alone Pogba if Ole chooses this tactics). Personally, I would wholeheartedly support giving Gomes many games this season - but where should he play? We have more than 10 midfielders and rumours of more of them coming...
