Excellent again today as he has been for the vast majority of his United career. His workrate given the amount of minutes he plays for us year in year out is truly impressive.

Best I’ve seen him play on the right I think. Fought hard and put some dangerous balls in as always.

Folk take this guy for granted, they really do. Just look at some of his passing tonight. Barely a word for him either.

But give it a few hairy moments at the weekend and the usual wankers will come steaming in with some waffle about ball retention.

If he ever picked up a long term injury we’d see just how important he is.

Excellent game, nothing flashy just kept it simple and worked his socks off.

For me, Fred, Fernandes and Casemiro makes the perfectly balanced midfield. So much energy. They all got the attitude we need.

That might be the most mature performance I've ever seen from him. Perfect decision making again and again

What a player he really is for us. Everything about him. He just needs trophies to cement potential legend status for us. He has been a catalyst for us in many ways. If he can win a league and a couple other trophies then for me he’s a legend.

Great game. Think he should have played as a 10 behind Rashy. There was plenty of space for him to attack in the middle of the park - especially on the counter.

Bang on. He’s like some sort of lightning rod for clueless tools.

The absolute glue of this team. Love this guy's attitude. Leading from the front. Fantastic player. Just glad he is in our side.

Not even a long term injury. People just need to rewatch our performance at Villa Park this season.

Oh he's not the glue. The glitter, maybe.
I mean the guy literally runs full pelt at both ends relentlessly. Puts in the effort to support the defence and has a killer though ball and assist range in him. Great player. Glitter is absolutely useless. Adds nothing to the art.

Fair to say he's started improving in big games this season?

My memory is likely failing me, but I think he's had 2-3 really good performances against top sides, whereas prior I can only recall the 3-2 Cup win against Pool when he came on as a sub and was majestic.

No one mention his ball for WW? What a pass was that. Sliced open their whole midfield and defense with ping pong accuracy and power. He was simply excellent yesterday.

He was great overall, his defensive contributions were pretty good as well , it's encouraging that he turned up like this in one of the biggest nights of his United career .

That pass to Rashford with his week foot, very few players would get that right.

Was very good, more of the same next week.

He was excellent yesterday. Having Casemiro behind him allows him to play free and he is at his sparkling best then. The difference from the Leeds match to yesterday was clear.

More than anything I love his never say die attitude. We need more of this in the team. He's relentless. A deserving club captain

IMO yesterday's game showed we are much more balanced if he plays at RM/RW position against better oppositions and another midfielder (in this case big Wout) is brought in. His passing is just to risky and we are never able to have a control if he plays no10 positon.

I actually thought he was a bit lazy in tracking back and supporting AWB by following the runner. If Barca had a better left back then we would have been in trouble.

started the game poorly from a discipline point of view and Wan Bissaka was left isolated at times. Improved greatly as the game wore on and worked a lot harder for the team.

Hopefully we have Antony back next week and he can take that 10 spot back.

Reminds me of Park the amount of running he puts in every match.

Love Bruno!
Yeah his work rate is brilliant.

His productivity is brilliant. His overall contribution is very high. He can be a bit erratic with his passing but can’t grumble too much.

When you take all that together, there’s a case to say he is our most important player. It’s hard to say because he is rarely unavailable. I don’t rank him in our top five important players - my top five, in no order, are:

Casemiro
Rashford
Eriksen
Shaw
Martinez

But if Bruno gets injured I might realise he should be in that list. He’s a worthy captain and very influential on spirit.

I dont think I've seen a United player who's as good at through-balls like Bruno.
Absolutely brilliant, especially with the outside of his foot. Gets the weight perfectly 9/10 times.

World Class as usual.

The criticism is valid IMO while it comes from a misplaced point. He can and should be more possession savy, he is in a place where if he does not create, no one else does. This has been his role for all his United time. If in summer we add a quality mid that can create and dictate, Bruno will be far less inclined to do everything himself.

Tools like myself have our preferences. I won’t come here and accuse him of having a bad game, when in effect he executed a very disciplined performance that was needed on the day.
These are not the sort of game I call him out on, it’s against the lesser teams that he allows to think they our equal because we keep handing the ball over unnecessarily.
So, Tools like myself also understand what expectations to have as per game.

His moments of erattic play are totally worth it when he can consistently play out of this world passes like the one he laid on a plate to Weghorst.

I hope he finds that scoring form that he had in his earlier days. We need more goals outside of Rashford. But that's not a criticism of him, but something the entire team needs to share.

Tools like you clearly don't understand the job of players like bruno and KDB.
