Just out of interest thought I'd compare Bruno against Morocco against a couple of lauded performances from creative players in the QFs - Messi vs. Netherlands and Griezemann vs. England. Bruno's first followed by Griezemann and then Messi and then one of his teammates against Morocco (João Felix) for comparison.

Someone will probably come back at this saying "stats don't tell the full story" and they'd be right, but they're not irrelevant either (and the only stats most people trashing him are looking at are the scorelines). The stats back what would be clear if someone were to watch touch compilations of the 3 performances back - Fernandes created just as much or more as either Messi or Griezemann but his teammates couldn't take advantage.

Hit the bar, Ronaldo & Silva missed easy chance. On a good day, it could've been 2 assists and 1 goals for Bruno.
Blaming him for Portugal's loss is bizarre

Amazing player! Still the top class player when it comes to goals and assists. He's like the Frank Lampard of midfield. He just keeps scoring. One might even say he's better than Frank. Just lack trophies at the moment.

Bruno's chance was arguably easier than Ronaldo's but he blew it over the bar. Pepe's chance was also easier but he went for glory and missed the target.

Portugal lost because they allowed Morocco to frustrate them and slow them down, just as they did to Spain.

Easily Portugal's best player all tournament, not his fault the rest of the team didn't show up when it mattered.

He is a player that in a space of 10 minutes it can frustrate you by missing basic stuff and a few minuntes later he's doing something worth of a YT compilation. That's why when things go wrong everyone will feel the need to vent on this topic.

Sorry but he's an idiot.

No reason at all to already have 7 yellow cards this season.

Really good tonight, shame he got that booking though.

That pass to Rashford in the 2nd was majestic.

Gives the ball away for fun. Capable of magic though.
Didn't really think he did tonight. Stupid to overreact to burnley shithousery but for him I thought he kept the ball and used it well.

Will be annoying if we get a top team next round and he can't play because of stupidity.

His on the ball stuff was really good. One fantastic ball (aside from pass to AWB) where he picked out rashford in second half before Scott put it over the bar

That was fecking outrageous. Idiotic booking though. And you could see it coming.

Burnley tackled our players without close to get the ball so many times, and the ref let them off. One barge from behind, it's a yellow. What a joke.

Hollywood passes and most of em' don't come off but when they do, it puts our attackers in position to score, we desperately need him as he is our only creative player.

Getting himself booked and consequently suspended for the next round because he got into a scrap with a championship midfielder at 2-0 up with 10 minutes to play is peak Bruno. Absolutely idiotic at times.

Not remotely. Never had the physicality, dribbling or composure of either.

For me it’s the work rate of Rooney and the key passing of Ozil that I see more than the things I don’t see in him.

It's not in the rules but the reason he was booked was because he clearly had no intention other than to hurt a player he had just had a very obvious argument with. The ref will always see an incident like that very different to what could be perceived as over-enthusiastic attempts to win the ball back, or put an opposition player under pressure. Fecking brainless from Bruno. Which is a pity, as it takes away from a performance with some sensational moments. The pass to Rashford in the second half was one of the best I've ever seen. The late fade he put on the ball was outrageous.

He know what he was at :D

It was stupid indeed. At least now he won't get himself suspended for the semi after getting into a scrap with a player from League One!

Needs to take a chill pill. Yeah he lost the WC but he can still win Baracao Cup which is at the same level as World Cup but the club version.
