He pisses off opposition fans, that's a big plus for me.
I thought he played well today, but I tend to take a bigger picture approach to performances. It surprises me that someone as typically myopic as you has wrote the bolded.
Bruno today lost the ball on the edge of his own box trying to dribble, holding on to the ball too long when there were options to release it, almost scoring an own goal with a ridiculously careless and rash ‘shot’ at his own goal, diving yet again then getting involved in a brainless manner after their goal which could’ve ended in a red as he was booked for the dive, but worst of all giving the ball away in the 93rd minute. What was he thinking. All of these could’ve cost us 3pts
I’m suprised by the amount of people criticising him today but it’s hypocritical for someone like you not to be imo. Just how careless is he on a bad day?
I'm surprised that there are posters who don't understand why Bruno is being criticised for parts for his performance yesterday.
No doubt about it, off the ball he was perfect, you probably couldn't have a better performance than that. On the ball however, the same old mistakes and carelessness that he's now known for were clear to see and could have really cost us. Giving the ball away, getting caught in a dangerous position, terrible clearance that nearly led to an own goal, going down faking an injury against clean challenges and the inexcusable pass played to Ronaldo in the dying seconds of the game.
His performance was filled with errors on the ball and at this point it's just part of his game. He isn't being targeted or made to be a scape goat as some think, it's just an honest assessment of the type of player he is and the game he played yesterday.
Jesus. How many times are those three incidents going to get mentioned? Yes, he was once caught in possession outside our own box. Yes he miscued a clearance. Yes he chose the wrong option in injury time. He touched the ball 57 times last night. More than any other player in red. Why are people getting so fecking hung up on the 3 times out of 57 it went badly?

I'm shocked he's getting so much criticism. I thought he was fantastic. The cross field pass just before our first goal was brilliant.
I guess he's the new scapegoat?
He literally nearly gave away 3 goals. Not a surprise he got criticism
3?
1) He got caught in possession on the edge.
2) He sliced a clearance.
3) ?
Start of the second half he completely messed up the kick off and gave it straight to firmino and nearly put Luiz in. And we spent 5 minutes with Liverpool on the edge of our box. Purely down to that one error.
Jesus christ
"nearly gave away 3 goals"
He did. Those are 3 times he nearly gave away a goal. If that was pogba you guys would be slating him. Bruno gave his all he worked hard it was great and infectious for the team. But he also was completely irratic and nearly undid all the good work of him and the team a few times. Even at the end 93rd minute instead of keeping the ball he went for a Hollywood pass which easily could have led to Liverpool getting one last chance on goal.
If Pogba had a game with the same errors at the moments Bruno did, your posts would be totally different. It's quite bemusing that you're understating the impact of three very big errors in such a close and big games. These can often be the difference between 3 points and 1 point.Jesus. You’re a complete hypocrite. Your using stats where for other players you completely reject statistics, if they don’t go along the line you want them to.Hypocritical? Feck off.
And the irony of you calling me myopic when you failed to see what was happening right in front of your eyes.
Bruno's pass completion was 67% last night. Not great but above average for the team (which was 67%) Considering how hit and miss his passing often is, I would say a match where his pass completion is better than average for the team confirms exactly what I saw with my myopic eyes.
He completed 26 passes (as compared to 16 from Eriksen and 18 from McT) He also had more touches than any other United player. More carries than any other United player. He made more pressures than any United player. His "tackles + interceptions" were better than any player who wasn't playing in defence. His xA was the highest in the team. Ditto his Shot Creating Actions.
As for the absolute weapons getting their panties in a bunch about a miscued clearance being saved on the line, the exact same thing happened to Martinez, with DDG bailing him out. Shit happens when the ball is ping balling around the box and I'd rather have players attacking the ball in our box than not being involved at all.
Stats
dude calm the feck down ha. There were several instances where he got caught with the ball incredibly deep. Yeah it didnt result directly in a goal, but odds are if he keeps it up it will happen, and happen more than just once. Plus he was the most incredibly lucky that he didnt get that OG, which changes the game completely. Thats like saying well i closed my eyes and ran across this highway 6 times and i didnt get hit, so why are people freaking out? it was just luck that it didnt result in at least one goal against yesterday, if not more. He needs to clean up his game if he wants to be considered a star player. This isnt a player who is supposed to be rotating in with others, and we can say well he did the job yesterday. Bruno is supposed to be an every game, lead the team type player. Players such as those need to be held to high standards.Jesus. How many times are those three incidents going to get mentioned? It already has…Arsenal away, Leicester away off the top of my head. Palace away last season he played a blind pass that led to them scoring. Watford away the same led to a penalty I think. There’s others too and plenty of times he’s gotten away with it.dude calm the feck down ha. There were several instances where he got caught with the ball incredibly deep. Because it's what costs us fecking games! How are you this dense not to see this? If a defender does three stupid things in a match, are you going to be like "ah yeah well it was only three things lads". Of course not. And I have less of an issue with the miskicked clearance as the other stupid shit, because the clearance is a split second thing that can happen to anyone but the others are deliberately bad decisions.
If one of those needless giveaways had turned into an equalizer, or he got sent off, people on here would be incensed and rightfully so. Stop looking so much at fecking results and think more about the process.

He's not even supposed to be playing so deep. Some of you are frothing at the mouth looking for mistakes that you don't even realize this. With a proper setup he should be the most advanced midfielder and nowhere near our box.dude calm the feck down ha. There were several instances where he got caught with the ball incredibly deep. Seen you on threads about the game yesterday on Bruno. Where is this energy when Lisandro almost miscued his clearance into his own net?
Or is this saved for players you have an agenda against?
Yes, Southampton one is a bit harsh but I’ve seen others heavily criticised for less.Southampton and Leeds away last season.
He frequently has brainfreeze episodes in 25 yards radius of his own goal. Here he was less than a yard away. The more you watch that Bruno shot on his own goal, the more cringey it looks. It wasn't just an unfortunate ricochet...Bruno took a proper swipe at the ball.
i mean that isnt how it works. Even strikers will be around their own box at times for corners and deep free kicks. He's not even supposed to be playing so deep. yeah effort wise he seemed to be expending quite a bit of energy at least.Man ran himself into the ground yesterday. A for effort.

Agreed.Looked no different from your average caf favourite of ‘dallying on the ball’ to me. They are all generally harsh though. Players get dispossessed, part of the game. Of course, they should be sensible on the ball, but will always happen from time to time.
