Good contributions today. Glad that he was awarded the assist.

It's great that pogba has stepped up like he has and takes the pressure off bruno for a while. No one can be in top form all the time

HE didn't get assist, that's only for FPL. For official PL records, he didn't get assist and rightly so.

Looks exhausted. Needs to have a couple of games off. Would rest him for the next two games.
Agreed, he looked exhausted both physically and mentally.

For the assist, tbh I couldn't care less just wondering if a shot is bounced off from the keeper and someone tap the ball in then it's an assist? If yes then what's the difference between that and Bruno's cross?

Both are not assists.

Could you give me a source please?

Tbh I have no idea regarding this but when I play FM such case is still considered an assist in the PL. Given how realistic that game is it should be the same in real life i think?

Assists in FM is broken. Check the official PL site, they didn't give assist. Even slightest of deflection, they won't give assist.

These are counted as assists for Fantasy league only.

If this is the case then assists in the PL is what broken here I think.

None of the sites like whoscored.com and other reputed stats sites gives them as assist.
I didn't doubt what you said. It's just quite baffling to me that a 5 yard pass before the penalty area would be registered as an assist if someone scores a 30 yards screamer. But a 50 yards through pass would not if it's slightly deflected. Or a 30 yard screamer that forces the keeper into making a mistake would not.

Anyway, rules are rules and nothing is perfect I know.

Yeah, it's weird how black and white these stats are. Player X dribbles past so many players and then puts the ball on plate for other attacker with slightest of deflection, the player X nothing to show in stats. Then you have player who passed the ball to Ronaldo against Porto, he gets assists for the awesome long range goal.

I agree. His sloppy and woeful last minted might cloud the judgement on his performance but in the first half he was fine
Yeah, Id even say he was more than fine and was looking like his usual self.
Even second half when he was looking tired, he made a good run for a chance he hit straight at the keeper (though was offside so not that good a run )
And some of his stuff was decent. but I think the tiredness of the body lead to tiredness of the mind.

there should be no issues not starting him in the next match or the one after. Let him be on the bench and come on if needed. It will drive his hunger too.

Bruno is such a jammy git!

He was better yesterday but urgently needs a rest at this stage.

Ole needs to manage Bruno instead of the other way round.

I do think he needs to cut out the tendency to look for a killer ball every time.

Near the end of the game yesterday, he had the ball on the half way line two minutes into stoppage time and tried to feed a team mate in, losing it in the process.

Rashford did something similarly inexplicable afterwards, and Pogba likewise against Villa recently.

It’s so stupid as it just invites pressure late on and we have to get better as a unit at managing matches.

It’s no coincidence that we are going through the mill in the final ten minutes each time, because we don’t take the sting out of games.

Either that or be more clinical earlier in the game and put it to bed.

This guy should be the captain. He is like Keane who drags the team to victory.

Although alot of people will agree, I dont see why people keep saying this?

1. You do not need to be captain to drag teams to victory
2. You can have more than 1 leader in a tea
3. You can't just change captains half way through a season, it disrupts the dressing room.

Hitting the post from outside the box then immediately ending up on the wing to create the goal. That was mega stuff. No one else in the team does that

That's one of his biggest strengths. Everywhere. Trying something from everywhere. Great credit to Ole for giving him this platform, free role.

He hits the woodwork an insane amount of times. He has definitely done it more often than he’s scored from open play.

Definitely.

Pay attention to Bruno's movement, guy is purely gold.

Many of the sites use OPTA (like the premier league), so if premier league does not have it = whoscored won't have it, and most likely websites comparing their data with official website, so most of the time is chain reaction

They made an interesting observation about Bruno on Second Captains. His shooting from outside the box is unusually accurate. Consistently picks out a corner or works the keeper. Even when he misses the target it’s only ever narrowly wide. What makes it interesting is how often he strikes a pass completely wrong. But somehow gets rid of all that inconsistency when he’s having a crack at goal.

He's probably one of the weirdest players I've seen in my 25 years watching football. Not world class, quite erratic but with an output even better than world class. He could do a 50 yards lofted pass with pinpoint accuracy then fail a 15 yard pass the very next minute.

Even in FM he's fecking weird. His attributes are quite normal, not anything exceptional or extraordinary. Yet he's always my best performer with best average rating in the PL for 4-5 seasons. Regardless of where I play him as a CAM or CM. Or how many super star I have in the team. My Haaland once scored +40 goals a season and Bruno still had a better average rating. I even tried to replace him with much better players (much higher attributes), same tactic, same line up yet the rating of that player was much much worse.

What a weird player but thanks God we signed him.

Which version are you playing? He has exceptional attributes in almost all areas and a complete midfielder.

I was playing FM 2020 with some fan made transfer update, can't remember which exactly. He had like some 15-16, good overall but nothing exceptional imo. Genie Scout rates his best position around 83-85% or so I think, which is quite average.

I still keep that save if you want I'll post a screenshot.

P/s: I played him as a SS in the first season then Mezzala after I sold Pogba. Bought Felix, which had much better attributes to play SS but the result was much worse. No idea why though.

I think that inconsistency within the game is quite reminiscent of Rooney. Thankfully while Rooney was inconsistent over periods of games too where he would have streaks of goals and then long draughts, he seems to be able to somehow keep adding to his tally regularly.

No I don't think it's quite the same. Yeah Rooney had periods where he was a bit inconsistent with his output, but not with his passing or shooting etc. within a match. If he's bad he's basically bad the whole match. While Bruno can be inconsistent with his passing or shooting etc. within a match, but phenomenally consistent with his output.

I think you have forgotten that Rooney even at his peak could have really poor touches, etc.

He will make the #18 jersey more valuable than #7 in a few seasons.

15-16 in every attribute means awesome player. In FM21 he has awesome stats, don't remember how he was in FM20.

He is super consistent too in this game.

Oh no he doesn't have 15-16 in every attributes. Only some of the "important" ones. I still remember he has 12 for anticipation which imo is not correct at all. He at least should have 15 there.

To be awesome imo a player must have 17 or above. At least 16. Anyway we're a bit off topic I think.

I said if he's bad he's bad the whole match so I don't forget mate. Imo Rooney is pretty much like every other players, having inconsistent periods or matches. It's normal. He may have some bad touch/pass here and there but not as many and as regularly as Bruno.

Bruno, let's put him this way: he's consistently inconsistent with his touches, passing, shooting, etc. but somehow fecking consistent with his output. What a weird player tbh. Never seen anyone like him.

So I have absolutely no problem or worry if he misplaces a pass, screw up a touch because I know the very next minute he may score a goal or pull out some sort of genius pass/move that help us to score a goal.

sloppy with his touches and passes, but that's expected, that's his style..

better than the last couple of abysmal displays at least.

if he's tired give him a break this fa cup weekend

How does Trent make it in the team of the year? He's been absolutely shocking for half a season...

That is fantastic (I wish I could afford one for my fut). Fully deserved and great to see an outfield utd player in the list.
