Ok maybe that's a bit extreme but he's only 34. I don't think the thought of signing him is as ridiculous as people make out. .

Obviously we should be aiming higher but I'd rather bring Berbatov back than go into the season with only our current options.

I said or wanted Ibra but he would have done! Would have been great to have him as an option and on the bench. Really wish we'd have looked at this kinda thing as it's not as though they'd be obstructing anyone coming through or potentially coming in next summer

33 and 34 isn't old for these types of players. They can quite easily contribute and we've a young team to supply the legs/energy. In some ways they're perfect, because they're cheap, they won't be on a big contract, they offer insurance in case of injury and they don't block out the kids or stop the club signing in a year or two. Missed opportunity.
