"I'm delighted with our performances this week against Manchester United, Bournemouth and Arsenal, it shows we are getting back to where we are."

Brendan, they were better than 1-4, 3-3 in CL final, and 5-1 last year.

The fact that it took me a good few seconds to notice him as he blends in so well made this all the funnier

That's the first thing I thought of, I could see his brain processing what I've just done and quickly rolled his fingers into a fist to not look like a Nazi. He's definitely lost his cool.

I love his celebrations now because it looks like its all down to him, like hes taking all the credit, almost like "Yes, my plan has come off, youre welcome".

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, speaking to BBC Sport: "There's no doubt we deserved to win the game, our performance level was outstanding. Our performance today was better then when we won here last year 5-1. We had total domination of the first half, and 1-0 was probably about right. But then we gave away a disappointing goal right on half-time, and that can leave you a bit deflated.

"In the second half we continued to press, probe and create, and then all of a sudden we gave away a poor goal. There's no problem with our organisation. It is the decision making that can be our problem, and you cannot make poor decisions if you are going to keep clean sheets. But even down to 10 men we kept penetrating and the goal at the end was the very least we deserved, for the character we showed."

"It was an outstanding performance, our passing and movement on the pitch, which is terrible, was superb.

"We deserved to be one up at half-time and I don't think it was a free-kick in the build-up to their second. Alexis Sanchez dived for me and the referee bought it, but we have to defend better. We lost three duels and we need to win the first one.

"I'm delighted with our performances this week against Manchester United, Bournemouth and Arsenal, it shows we are getting back to where we are.

"At half-time we asked for more of the same with the same movement and then we showed great character to fight back from 2-1 down with 10 men.

"I don't think before this week we have been close to that level of speed and thought. You have to be creative as a coach to find a system that brings you back to that."

Those quotes are awful. Basically saying his system is perfect, it's just the players individual brain farts that let him down and sure that's not his fault. What a prick

His interviews, his celebrations, his painting of himself in his house, his body language during a game - I'm seriously starting to think that he has some sort of mental illness. Some mania or phobia - he is definitely not normal up there...

I never heard about the painting before so I just googled it. Oh my God, the man is a complete nob

Sanchez was kicked by Starfish, Brentan says he dived, they were even making an issue of it on Sky. Made the most of it but no doubt a foul.

Did he actually say that? I think the fella visually impaired, he just got lucky last year and everyone thinks he's a genius but he just turns up to games and tries judge them from the actions of the crowds because little Brandon cannot see 2 feet in front of him.
I don't think he honestly believes that himself, hes just trying to build up the teams confidence.

Literally the most deluded idiot in the world.

He's just a deluded fool who's on borrowed time as far as i'm concerned, he could do himself a massive favour and be a little more honest with his comments rather then constantly being self gratifying towards himself and his players all the time.

Is this real? I'm sorry but some of it sounds made up it's that bad!

To be fair, we have a coach who's proven himself to be more than capaple of spouting the same shite. Our coach has 3 Champions League finals and loads of titles to back it up though.

I think most of the 'shite' as you put it, van Gaal speaks is more down to not having a complete grasp of the English language just yet.

Nope, this season he's actually doing ok I think, you can also see he is really trying to be 'mellow' and humble. I heard him say stuff in Dutch though, and in German too, you would not believe it. There was this time he was invited to a German talk show, and I just get tears of laughter in my eyes thinking about it, one big unreal ego trip.

My Spanish isn't that great. But give me some of the most absurd Brendan Rodgers quotes, and I think I can counter with some LVG-moments that would easily surpass them. Love him to death though, except for yesterday when he took RVP off. I wanted to strangle him for that.

Nope. He's mad as a hatter.

:lol::lol: The defence of the poor misunderstood Dutchman begins. I wonder what would have happened to Rodgers instead of having pictures of himself on his wall he took out his schlong and waved it in his ex-players' faces.

We aren't comparing Van Gaal to Rodgers in here, are we? If anything, Van Gaal is always a little too critical of our performance and players, while Rodgers is a total loon who thinks even the most piss performance is fantastic and can't toe the line between throwing players completely under the bus and labelling them Jesus of Nazareth.

I find it amazing that a man who's only honour is winning a Championship Play off final, can have such a ridiculously big ego.

He also lost weight (good for him I guess), fixed his teeth and started tanning.

Did we not beat them 3-0? He's a lunatic in his interviews!

And it's spreading, you'll see more of them talking about progress and other rubbish. Yea, losing 3-0 to us, winning against Bournemouth and then drawing 2-2 against Arsenal is the shit.

What?

Oh I get it the pitch was terrible ... right

To be fair to him I thought he totally outwitted Wenger. Liverpool utterly dominated that match.
