Its a issue with this type of thread wums though. Many see RedCafe as a great Man United source and it will do something with the credibility.

Don't club damo with Cina ffs. Damo would automate every tu, you wouldn't even have to type your post, just think it and damobot's software will type it for you. It'd be glorious .
So we'd be trading one philosophy for another? No passion. No creativity. No one willing to take risks. Sound familiar?

I'm not saying that he's isn't great as a number 2, but it's very difficult to make the step up. Just look at Queiroz or Mclaren. I think he needs to go away and prove himself elsewhere before taking over here. Maybe at Svenskafans.com or Bvb-forum.de

How will it do anything for credibility when it's very blatently a joke. It's not like it's a thread with some shit Twitter post linked in it

Not really. Rules are rules but:

- Rules are meant for some reason. If WUMs were tolerated then the place would become unbearable. Every second thread would have been a WUM.
- Now, that doesn't mean that WUMs shouldn't ever happen. Because they aren't tolerated, people are safe from them. Every once a while a mod or a high profile poster makes a WUm thread, people laugh and that is the end of the story.

People laughed on this thread which is better than pretty much all other football threads at this moment.

This has always been the case though, I think primarily there is a difference between a post/thread made for comedic effect every now and then and just trying to get a rise out of people.

 that's a pretty big change of heart.

However, out of interest, has the attitude of the mods towards jokes like this changed as well in that time? Sure, @Ixion might have changed his opinion on this stuff since "Torres signs", but were it me for example who posted either thread, would I, as a low profile poster, be more likely to get banned for 'LVG SACKED' than 'TORRES SIGNS'?
I have no idea how 'high profile' blythy was, I wasn't on here back then.
If it had the same OP and everything you'd have been fine.

This requires a long thread in the general where we can evaluate our unpaid modmins in detail.

Some people should probably just lighten up. We all needed a good laugh round here anyway, and @rimaldo uncharacteristically refused to take off his underpants. What choice was there?

It's just one of millions of internet message boards. When the Apocalypse happens (probably in Mourinho's third season at United), all our words will be forgotten, as forlorn and lifeless as the dust[/RAWK]. i.e. it's not important.

This post could have been put in the LvG out thread, or the Random Chat thread, and it would have been mildly (very mildly) amusing; to keep it on the front page trolling each new reader is just plain wrong. I take it the transfer forum will be open to all kinds of shitness too now as well?

I'm sure they'll be fine.

I got an alert saying my post had been replied to but can't see it :(
If your post was on the original "LvG OUT!" thread then it's been locked because he's been sacked - Cina says so!

To be sacked (the act of putting someone in a sack) it's a proper thing, honest!
I was sacked
You were sacked
He was sacked
She was sacked
We were sacked
You were sacked
They were sacked
"Louis van Gall has been sacked"

It's a great source of income tho, only if I can attach my google adsense account to my post in this thread :D It's a gold mine especially when it hits 20-30 pages.

Because you got readers who dont know the guys on the forum. They read it. The headline is very misguided tbf. People are on the edge on their seats, hoping that our board sack LvG.

In most cases if someone for example make a thread about a player being bought or sold, its genuine information. The headline says LvG is finished, and thats a issue in my opinion. If a serious outlet did the same they would be in trouble. But this is my opinion mate.

Nah, LVG will still be here. Even post-apocalypse, when Woodward is the Earth's only survivor, he'll go around talking to trees, telling them he needs to destroy them for paper so he can come up with LVG's new contract.

Saw this early in the morning when I wasn't yet my usual skeptic, cynical and questioning self. Totally fell for it. Twat.

For those who are outraged, this is not very different from newbies vs full members. As a full member, if you make a bad wum or two, you may just get warnings or a temp ban, unless it was a really serious infraction. For newbies, it might mean that they are never promoted, or a hugely delayed promotion. Works the same when you apply and become a modmin, or you are simply a very popular poster, who will naturally have greater privileges than normal members.

That's literally the whole point.

Those talking about 'we needed a good laugh' must be easily amused.

OP is shite!

Noooo, I didn't believe it as was on Sky Sports seconds earlier, but thought someone might have beat them to it. The fact we are all gutted he hasn't been sacked tells you just how bad it is right now
