Break the Bank for Fabregas

He's not United material because he allegedly spat at someone? Get real. Even if he did spit at him, we've had players do a lot worse than that.

but it was never actually proved he did anything.

Erm, he stormed on the pitch mate after being a benched player taunting the Hull players and there was a pic of him grozzing in the direction of Horton.
Come on Boss Man, the Hull players didn't decide to take their frustration out on Cesc, he walked on the pitch and taunted them mate.

If he signs then we can't sing the Anderson song anymore. Hell no! Imagine him and Carrick together though.

But let's be serious. No chance in hell. He has even said he wouldn't move to another club in England. Can't be arsed finding the quotes.

This was when he went on a cnut-spree after the Hull match where he spat at Brian Horton; he wasn't even playing the knob!

He'd suit us better than Barcelona imo.. surrounded by pace and mentally strong footballers/coaching staff would be the making of him. Personally think he'd be overwhelmed by a move to Barcelona.

With regards to the first he was spitting on the floor as I saw the game, was a bit of a pathetic witch hunt to say he sat at Savage.

With regards to the second image, he completely stole my holdiday swag.

Eric Cantona. Kicked a fan in the face and became a hero.

Fabregas spat at an ex City Manager. I like it.

Here's something to consider...

Lets say Barca lose to Real in the CL semi's (it could happen, a Real victory may be a bit of an upset, but wouldn't be a huge shock)... the mass depression in Catalunya will force Barca into the transfer market to make the changes needed to keep up with Real (remember their treble winning side going out and signing Ibra basically to show people they could keep pace with Real's summer spending spree (Ronaldo, Kaka, Alonso... ect)

Fabregas would clearly be their number 1 target, and cost will be no option for them a post semi defeat to Real

He'd be perfect alongside Carrick/Fletcher. An ideal replacement for Scholes/Giggs as they pay in midfield now. Sure he has some mentality issues but we've had and will have worse. There's nothing Fergie couldn't sort out in a pre-season.

But it isn't going to happen. It would be the ultimate humiliation for Arsenal. They don't need the money and the contract isn't ending any time soon.

Hasn't Cesc said he wouldn't join another club in England? Cesc's biggest problem is inevitably going to be caused if Barcelona don't want him, yet he wants to leave Arsenal. Who can afford him? Where can he go without disrespecting Arsenal?

I wouldn't believe everything someone says. I mean liverpool could be back in the top four within a season or two and yet Torres will have long gone because he wanted to win trophies. If Arsenal don't spend, they have a probems and I don't think Fabregas would think twice using the same excuse Torres did. Ie I love the club but I want to be challenging for honors and I feel signing for Manchester United is fairer on the club then me going Chelsea' etc. Now Arsenal are in better shape then Liverpool were, but are they realistic challengers? Does he believe that? If he don't, and Arsenal lose sunday/don't spend in the summer..it'll test anyones paitence.

Become a bit injury prone the last few seasons....

since his first full season at Arsenal

Appearances
46
50
54
45

last 3 seasons
33
36
35*(maximum of 39, if he plays all 4 remaining matches)

Hamstring and Muscle problems almost every other week it seems like.

But putting all that aside, I know none of us expected Torres to leave Liverpool for Chelsea, but I simply can't see Fabregas leaving Arsenal for an English club.

Those numbers are plenty. When its down to 20-25 games a season thats when you really need to be wary

Seriously the way things are going we'll be replacing our midfield with Arsenals next season if you believe this forum! Nasri, Fabregas, Wilshere.

In all seriousness, Fabregas would be a fantastic addition to the squad but I do think he can go missing at times, but he's a goodfella isn't he? Always likes a slice of the action as his stats prove, but he's got a fiery pepperoni temperament but you can't help but feel he backs it up with a cheese filling really. Fantastic vision and a goal-scoring threat to boot, if we could get this deal stone-baked it'd be massive news wouldn't it? As usual this idea is a thin crust though, little on substance.

He'll go to Barca where he's mates with Pique and those others he played Dominoes with during the world cup. You can see hows he's bonded with those barca lads and he's just an extra topping for the Catalans to have isn't he.

It'll never happen.

I just can't see Fabregas having any interest in Italian football. I don't think the league is attractive now at all. Obviously it will appeal to some but it seems a backwards step for someone who's established. He might go barcalona but then again, Arsenal would want to screw Barca out of money that they might not way to pay. Barcas behaviour has not been good and other then him staying at Arsenal, it's very difficult to predict.

It's Barca or nowhere for Fabregas. Theres no way you'll see him in Italy imo, that'd be another Mendieta waiting to happen.

not that much if he's flinging it around the place ;) I can't believe someone would waste a good pizza like that. I had one earlier. Mmm Pizza

How many goals has he scored this season for Arsenal?

6"? 8"? 12"?

But even some of those appearances have been with him half fit, yet Arsenal have been desperate, so he/the team have put him on the pitch.

This isn't just about Fabregas, I feel the same way about Rooney, both 24 and 25 respectively, yet been playing week in, week out in the PL since they were 16/17.

Will their bodies hold up until they are 30-32? Lot of mileage already on them....But in a fantasy world, where he would want to come here, Arsenal would want to sell him to us, and we could afford it...No doubt, we would love to have someone of his class at United.

Can't stand him whatsoever but he is a quality footballer. He's not going to be at United anyway and that doesn't disappoint me too much.
