Brands: JLINGZ, JJO, Fierce, AM9, JM8, Paul Pogba Collection

Out of curiousity, have any of you purchased anything from their personal brands and if so, what?

This guy is an avid Lingz fan:

It came today. Chuffed with it. So stylish and is perfect for casual wear. Might pair it with a cream blazer for a dash of sophistication.

At this point it’s such an odd business model...presumably named after himself because he believed he was going to be appreciated enough as a footballer to warrant people who do not necessarily support his club to buy his clothing? He is linking his long term business profile to either his profile as a footballer or a public figure after football...he is not good enough to become a sort of “idol” figure for kids who might buy his clothes (not many truly are) ...and he is now in limbo relying on comedy branding to shift units...

you would think he would have just stuck to football...ego is a killer...a good lesson for other young footballers (until Jack Grealish calf implants hit the shelves that is)

What the….

Is that a joke or am I really looking at the website of world’s biggest narcicist?

I love it and that's exactly why.

The best trolling is always when at least part of you thinks it might be serious and in case quite a lot of me actually thinks it could be. It doesn't matter which it is at this point, it's funny either way. Hats off to him.

That’s a club range not a player brand deal, the club aren’t gonna stop selling merchandise just cos we’re shit.

1 win in 50 days. Read the fecking room.

By the looks of that tweet, there were intense discussions between the marketing people at Adidas on how to carry out this photoshoot, and they come to the conclusion that the only way to sell United merch at the moment is by turning the bloody light off.

sleeve supposed to be a Joy Division reference? COOL, MAN
"Unknown Pleasures"...like watching over 45 minutes of exciting play...
Or sequence of more than 5 passes...
Or not conceding possession in front of goal...
Or actually attacking down the right wing rather than just switching to the left wing again...
Or have more than 2 players press the opposition at a time...

i will never understand why people hate this stuff so much.

If it's once in a while then that's fine. Problem with United is that it's relentless. That was 3 hours ago, this is now:

Even training ground pics they have to commercialise. When this is the attitude from the club then no wonder we manage to attract so many merchants who are here only to collect a big fat paycheck and build their personal brand.

Why the Joy Division reference ?

Pretty clear if you’re familiar with their tunes:
“Disorder”, “Atrocity Exhibition”, “Wilderness”, “Dead Souls”, “Failures”

Slightly more tenuous but still applicable: “Decades” (til we win another league title),
“I Remember Nothing” (how I feel after watching 90 minutes of us play), “Glass” (Varane, Cavani’s injury records), “24 Hours” (without a decent shot on target), “They Walked In Line” (our work rate)

just realised they are using a guy who is about to walk away for free and embarrass the club all over again. Even he looks confused

Most club’s players’ CPD involves making themselves better on a football pitch.

Our club runs marketing/entrepreneurship/being an utter cnut classes to help the players grow (and as a by product, line the coffers for the Glazers a bit more)

Few years down and only JLingz still in business. He has the survival instinct and resilience of a roach. Thick skinned fella.
