Bonucci to Milan?

La Stampa says he'll be a Milan player tomorrow

Milan are back and Serie A just got a lot more exciting again.

Woah..go Milan. My Serie A team from way back so would love to see them back properly again.

He is the youngest of the trio and they just sell him. I know they have Rugani and Caldara on loan to Atalanta, but still

30m Euros + Romagnoli + De Sciglio was a good deal as in the OP. But 40m Euros alone? I would have included Romagnoli somehow in that deal if i was Juve.

Great transfer for Milan in a great market for them overall. The price is a bargain.

I'm going to assume De Sciglio is going to Juve for a very low fee, but still this a bargain for Milan.

What annoys me most is that Juve would ask double that if an English club were after him.

This would be like Man Utd signing Eden Hazard or Harry Kane for 50M tomorrow, it is unthinkable. Surely they could have gotten 60M from PSG, Man City/United or Chelsea? Or every other big club imaginable? Sure enough he might want to stay in Italy, but then they could just have kept him?! Furthermore, the distance between Milano and Torino is like 150 km, so it's hardly about moving "home" - he will probably sleep in the same bed next season.

Fecked up transfer...

He's gone, arriving now in a Milan hotel with TVs following live. Wtf then? Severed ties with Juve, cycle finished. Why Milan? He's 30, married with two kids, no will to leave Italy, moving 100km East and carrying on with usual life. PL clubs never stood a chance this time, really. Maybe next year or two, a la Tevez after he left Juve for Boca then China.

What annoys me most is that Juve would ask double that if an English club were after him.
Why wouldn't they when when we always oblige? Our fans were annoyed when Fergie would put his foot down and we were winning titles back then. It's not Juve's fault, it's English football and the way its clubs have been acting in the market.

Idiots, 10mil more and they could've got Kyle Walker.

This has got to be the strangest transfer of the window so far. I'm wondering though if this could be one that we look back on as a clever move for Bonucci though; everyone thought Pirlo was mad to go from Milan (just won the league) to Juventus (lurking in mid-table for the last few years), and look what happened there. Still don't understand why Juve are selling though, there must have been a fallout, or something we don't know.

According to do marzio, this is done. Tremendous business Milan is doing this year. Not to mention they are going for Belotti next. Really looking forward to seeing them play next season

Neves to Wolves still stranger

not sure how accurate this is, but bonucci and alves both fell out quite badly with allegri in the CL final so maybe something to do with that. Got this from elsewhere, but take it with a pinch of salt i suppose

How much is Milan's net spending this summer? How about Fifa financial fair play rules, or is there any Fifa financial fair play rules anymore?

For me, this confirms that Conte will be heading to Milan; wouldn't surprise me if he walks out of Chelsea within weeks, but if not IMO he'll be there next summer.

Who bought AC Milan again? They seem to have hit the money with the new owners they have now

The Rossoneri are rising...:smirk:

Was a very strange deal if it was just the money but somewhat more sensible if it also included players, especially if there was a fall out between him and the coach.

Still a great deal for Milan

it's not that strange when you consider his wife and his sick child.
Also Italian clubs don't tend to go out of their way to make transfers harder for other Italian clubs. Just English ones

Milan wants to announce this tomorrow morning, even though Juve want to hold off for a little while longer. He will sign a 4 year contract worth 6.5m euros/annum. The De Sciglio deal will be a separate one, but somehow still a part of the package deal. They'll announce Biglia first, signing number nine for the new era in Milan, and then Bonucci. Montella will hand him the captain's armband and help him and his wife find a house in the city, before he joins up with the squad in China. Lucci, the player's agent, has said that the wait is almost over, only a few details remain to be finalized.

Juve will get 40m euros, which they won't invest in a defender. They will bring back Caldara from Atalanta and their priority is to sign a top player for their midfield.

What a great signing this would be. There is a very good chance they might start playing 3 at the back considering they have 3 very good CBs and 2 very good wingbacks.

Interesting to note that Bonucci came through the youth ranks at Inter, played for Treviso, Pisa, and Bari, before moving to Juventus. He'll join a small group of players who have played for all the 3 big dogs in Italian football.
