Film Bond on Prime

Currently watching the one from last year - No Time To Die. Over 2 hours in and we still don't know what the villain's motives are. The feck? It's so up it's own arse in trying to create little moments that the fundamental plot of the film just doesn't exist. It's dull and shit.

Sorry but it was the worst movie I have seen this year. The villain is pathetic, Bond had grown up to be utterly exhausted and sentimental. It's crap, Craig looks older than Roger Moore in A view to a kill and why the hell did they have to put a black woman with an attitude in it, really it's just wrong on all levels.

It's gonna be a sh1t show isn't it :annoyed:

It couldn't last forever with the family in charge, if there is one positive at least the last Bond film was a definitive end of an era.

Amazon will just milk it, spin offs, origin stories, films every couple years. Step 1, cast a shit actor for Bond.

That is a shame, I'm sure they'll cast the least likeable or feasible person to be Bond. Then totally oversaturate with all kinds of spins offs like Disney seems to.

I'm guessing the next villain won't be a Billionaire megalomaniac then.

Also my eyes need testing. Was reading that shortlist of front runners and read James Norton and Aaron-Taylor Johnson initially as James Nesbitt and Anya-Taylor Joy.

Egon Monk.

They're going milk then living shit out of this franchise.

Cartoons, spin offs, prequels, a TV show about his training... It's all coming.

Terrible news :( Might as well consider Craig as the last real Bond and say that the ending was appropriate given the news.

To be fair, I'd be more interested in an Anna Taylor Joy James Bond over a Aaron Taylor Johnson one

Please let it be James Nesbitt.

Shame.

Grew up loving the James Bond movies.

Wonder how badly they'll feck this up and if they'll start with a TV-series or a movie. I suppose they've already drawn up a tv series for Q. Young Q in school will probably be a fun one. Maybe we'll even get a show about M, and lets not forget M's secretary. Maybe a 006.

And it won’t be any different from now. It’s not like they kept reinventing the wheel before the takeover. It’s exactly the same movie again and again. Now there will be more of the same. That’s it.

That's very dramatic. The recent "reboot" with Craig as Bond was good as far as these types of silly films go, with a couple of mishits but also very good inclusions into the saga.

Amazon milking it to the core, spin offs, etc. is another kettle of fish.

Exactly this, IP Nirvana. They'll make one about Dame Judie Dench's M in her younger years during the groovy 60's, where she not only faces the threat of the soviet menace but also the sexist patriarchy around her. Bonds formative years dealing with the grief of the passing of his parents which will be a teenage angst series with hot bods. The many colourful adventures of Q, which will be like a British MacGyver but very gay. After the bang up job they did with Lord of the Rings, I for one cannot wait.

Found the synopsis for their first move, just like u found it for Nolan's Odysseus movie:

Title: Amazon Prime Directive: A Bond Too Far

In this take on the James Bond franchise, Agent 007 (played by a generically handsome, algorithm-approved British actor) is reassigned to MI6’s newest corporate overlord—Amazon Intelligence. With MI6 privatized under the global tech giant, Bond is forced to trade in his Aston Martin for a self-driving Amazon delivery van and his Walther PPK for a Prime-branded drone.

When a rogue former CEO, Jeffrey Goldthumb, threatens to monopolize the world’s information and hold global internet speeds hostage unless all nations submit to his one-click world order, Bond must infiltrate the villain’s floating headquarters—a superyacht designed like an Amazon Fulfillment Center.

Guided by an AI assistant named Alex-A (who constantly misunderstands commands) and aided by the tech-savvy yet overworked Q-bot 3000, Bond struggles against subscription-based weapons, mandatory two-factor authentication to open doors, and an enemy henchman known only as "The Algorithm", who anticipates Bond’s every move using predictive analytics.

As Bond navigates a world where his expense reports must be approved by HR bots and romance is restricted by Amazon’s strict workplace policies, he discovers the true horror: his license to kill has been downgraded to a free trial.

With time running out before Goldthumb’s servers force every world leader to accept Terms & Conditions they haven’t read, Bond must do the unthinkable—cancel Prime and fight his way out with nothing but his charisma and an outdated Nokia phone.

Will Bond save the world, or will he be forced into a lifetime of targeted ads and same-day assassinations? Find out in Amazon Prime Directive: A Bond Too Far, streaming exclusively on Prime Video (unless you want to pay extra).
