Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Bluemoon seem to be taking it reasonably well, saying the seasons over but they have an ageing team, gotta stay top 4, replacing the old players, "cannot win them all".

I think they would need to do an AMAZING job yo rebuild a team to be as good as recent years, so I don't expect them to be that good for a while. Top 4 obviously but not expected PL champs.
Apart from Rodri they need a new midfield, Gundogan is too old, Silva is on the decline and De Bruyne is on the way out I think. Wide players are pretty average as well.

Walker is aging. Bernardo is still good, but you need some youth around him if you wanna keep using him.
Their defense is pretty meh but will probably do.

'kin Ada, Manchester has been a happy hunting ground for Spuds this year. City haven't half taken a tumble. There's still enough talent there to reverse the slide but their backs are against the wall. Wonder what they'll do in January?

Their injury list isn’t even that bad when compared to us and Newcastle last year. Pep has become too attached/sentimental to ageing players who can’t physically cope with the intensity of EPL. Will be great to see one of their players leak to the press what they really think about why this crisis is occurring and who is to blame.

Well they have not spent that much in recent years, and I imagine certain players they have are very difficult to replace.

From their modern history they do not need world class wide players, or world class defenders, they need world class central midfielders with enough technical ability in the team. They currently are not technical enough, and their midfield isn't world class, with no depth for wide players.

Spot on. The players that are out outside of Rodri are no better than the players available.

City are playing like a team guilty of something and it's weighing heavily on their minds.

I'm regularly impressed with how arrogant they are. Christ, we were at the top for decades and whilst we definitely were arrogant and had to eat humble pie after Fergie left, I don't think we even get close to these short term overnight sensations.

Guardiola’s quote the other day saying "we deserve to be here" was next level arrogance.

Not spent much? What about Grealish 100m, Gvardiol 90m, Akanji 50m, Ake 40m, Savio 40m, about 150m on Haaland, and more
Gvardiol £77.6m,Akanji £15m, savio £33.6m, haaland £52m. Yea they have spent, I should have worded it differently, net spending has been very low in recent years.

They have spent poorly in recent years, players not good enough. Very few have worked out and they have sold some of them not long after buying them, and I imagine they will sell more of them.

They have spent plenty but the magic touch of signings has faded.

Nunes, Phillips, Doku, Savinho, Grealish.. all look poor compared to the likes of those they replaced (Mahrez, Silva, Fernandinho etc)

As much as I’d love to gloat, it might be best to be a bit cautious.
We go to their place in 3 weeks time.

5 losses in a row.
Just a very bad run, or the beginning of the end?
Here’s hoping.

I think we should not judge Savinho yet, hes only young. Otherwise yea, I cannot understand Phillips and Doku at all never going to make it.

Depends what you mean by the end, they will be a top 4 PL team, just not as dominant.
