Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

a banner should be put up in his language to make sure he is aware we don't want him.

1st.

2nd. How did they not see this coming? He's been agitating forever but they decided to keep him. Now they get to deal with it. Yes, he's a horrible excuse for a neanderthal, but only people with lower IQs than his didn't see this coming.

It's like fecking a whore and then feeling all hurt when you find out she doesn't love you.

Our midfield isn't good enough. Barry and Toure can't play as a 2 man midfield vs the best in Europe, they aren't mobile or agile enough. Milner has the athletic ability but lacks composure on the ball under pressure. De Jong is the best equipped, but everyone knows what his strength is.

Against the top teams i really don't think we can get away with a 2 man midfield, we can manage against the average domestic opponent, but not in the Champions League against the likes of Bayern.

If we want to play 2 in there, we need another option, a genuinely world class player.

If we're not willing to spend the money, or don't have the ability to attract one who's good enough, in matches like this we have to go with 3 in midfield.

A bitter I know of facebook just told me that united bought all of their success in the 90's just like citeh are doing now, apparently we spent fortunes under atkinson and then under fergie all through the 90's and we bought all our trophies back then despite me pointing out that we had beckham, neville brothers, scholes, butt and others through the youth academy apparently it was a big spending that enticed those names to the academy and apparently i need to do research before making "such ludicrous" claims that united never bought their success

that makes no sense to me, fecking bitters. no matter how hard you try make them see sense its in vain, this guys fascination with united is cringe worthy though. as a united fan i only give a shit about citeh when we play them. he has at least 3 or 4 status updates about united each week. closet red methinks

The same City fan who was going on about United fans that aren't from Manchester, while being a City fan that isn't from Manchester?

The same one that said;

A lesson in class;at 4-0 Mancini took aguero off and put another defender on.fergie should have done the same out of respect to arsenal, especially when they went down to 10 men.

and

what is being build at manchester city from the etihad campus is something special that will put city on the same level as real madrid and barcelona

...?

If so, I think it's best to ignore him. Either that, or take a screenshot of each United thing he says, then in a couple of months show him how sad he is.

yep the same one mate, this new "unsubscribe" feature on facebook is handy though isn't it? i used to laugh at him but the constant fascination with united is starting to piss me off, it was funny at first but now he is just looking like a sad bastard, why they cant focus on supporting their own team first i will never know.

Has he had an IT Crowd style crash course in City supporting? "did you hear that ludicrous claim last night...?"

By-product of a massive inferiority complex.

City spent more money in SAFs first 10 years than we did. We "bought" a few league titles and FA Cups, they "bought" relegation.

In the 70s we spent the same on Joe Jordan as they spent on Mick Channon, less on Stewart Pearson than they spent on Dennis Tueart. What we spent on Gordon McQueen, they spent on Paul and Ron Futcher. When we bought Ray Wilkins for £800,000 in 1979/80, they spent £750,000 on Michael Robinson. The same season we bought Nikola Jovanovic for the same fee (£300,000) they paid for Bobby Shinton. At around the same time City also spent a British record £1.45m on Steve Daley, £1.25m on Kevin Reeves and a then-record fee for a teenager; £250,000 on Steve MacKenzie.

A year later, United finally spent over a million on a player (something which City had already done twice the year before) when we signed Garry Birtles for £1.25m. At the same time City spent a combined £700,000 on Phil Boyer, Gerry Gow and Bobby McDonald. Birtles is (rightly) regarded as a big money flop. However, who remembers Kevin Reeves who City spent the same figure on?

When Atkinson took over in 1981 he spent all of £50,000 more on Bryan Robson than City had spent on Steve Daley two years previously (who City had just sold to the Seattle Sounders after less than 50 games for just £0.3m). He also signed Frank Stapleton for £900,000 and Remi Moses for £500,000. Meanwhile, City bought Trevor Francis for £1.2m, Asa Hartford for £375,000 and Martin O'Neill for £275,000.

In 1982/83 we spent nothing while City spent around £500,000 on Graham Baker, Chris Jones and Peter Bodak. We won the FA Cup, they were relagated.

All that the massive amounts of cash they'd thrown about in the previous decade had won them was the 1976 League Cup. We didn't have much to show for our spending either in that time (two FA Cups), but we were still in the top flight having spent less. Ron spent big again in the next three years and despite the 1985 FA Cup win, the club was undoubtedly mismanaged ultimately bringing about the Ferguson era. As can be seen in the link above, the figures show that City came back during that time into the top flight and again spent heavily, only to be relegated (again).

Your City mate will most likely not know any of this as most of those names and figures have been wiped of the collective memory of City fans.

The majority of the more vocal Bitters I know think football started in 2008 when Mansour took over.

A common argument and misconception used by ABUs. What these people fail to recognise, however, is that not only did a lot of our team in the 90s cost nothing and were the result of a fantastic youth team coming through the academy at the same time, and also we had perhaps the greatest manager of all time pulling all the strings for us, but that when we did make an expensive signing we were spending money we'd earnt, which is completely different to City.

Our club has never had a sugar daddy, all of our wealth has been generated from us being the most supported and most famous club in the country for many decades now, and so we've built up revenue over the years that way through being the biggest club. There's absolutely nothing wrong about a club spending the money they've earnt through being the biggest club.

City (and Chelsea), however, have just got in rich owners - ones who know nothing about and are not connected with football - who just came in and started buying everyone. It's an entirely different situtation, and is ruining the game. City were a small club with no prestige or fame, and suddenly a rich Arab entirely unconnected with football starts buying random players for them. That is buying the league because it's a small club using money they haven't earnt to buy the sort of success that they would definitely not have got any other way.

I thought I'd have a peek tonight and it seems they do have lots of new members now! But it's only the evil Manchester United that have glory hunters, right?

Check out this gem:

Do you automaticaly go into the Europa League scheme if you have subscibed to champs league scheme and we go out ( its looking like we will )
Only I really dont want to watch on thursdays against the lesser sides in europe, plus I play on thurs .

Just curious and need to know

They had a guy from Chelmsford or somewhere on there a few weeks ago when I looked at it. He actually admitted to being an ex-Chelsea fan

Then there were other fans giving him shit and telling him he wasn't allowed to be a City fan - like they don't want any more fans, but they need them to be the Massive club they are aspiring to. Glory-hunters, each and every one of them

So City fans don't go to the United stadium to watch their team play.

I don't know about all of them, but this one definitely is a glory hunter.

I just had a look - they have a 'Believe' thread

They really have nothing of their own - no history, no credibility, no soul.

I can't think of a more hypocritical and plastic set of fans out there

Wow. That's pretty sad. I've seen a couple believe threads on here but that just shows a lack of belief in their squad which is actually a great one. If they can't properly get behind this squad, then what hope, as fans, do they really have when the going gets tough?

I wouldn't laugh too hard. They could end up in Europa, whilst we progress from second place and end up against Real or Barcelona, and in danger of going out - just being realistic - or we could not beat Basel, and also end up in Europa.
