Part of me thinks United have leaked the Amorim stuff vividly because they have got some backlash from fans for being so slow to pull the trigger on Ten Hag. Should have been 6. Gyokeres was clean through in the first half and only had to pass it either side of Ederson. And in the second half, he just needed to square it and the other chap had a tap in.

The most remarkable thing about this game is that in the first half, Sporting were way off the pace. They were playing a low tempo passing game and couldn't handle the press and pace of City. Then at half-time the coach adapted his tactics and blew City out of the water. They went up a few gears, played through the press and within two passes they were in on goal multiple times.

Are we seeing the evolution of football coaching? Someone who can adapt and change a teams tactics to counteract what the opponent is doing, not only to stop them, but to be able to hurt them so effectively as well.

Tonight was a real eye opener for the world of football.

And he's our new coach!!!!
