Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

My dream is a punishment where all of City's titles will be marked with * City were later convinced of cheating but were allowed to keep their trophies

In a way that is probably worse than being stripped of titles. It would remain like a bell around their necks or like a criminals tag forever. Strip the titles and they can move on, just leave an asterisk and no one will ever forget their cheating history.

Spent some time on Bluemoon over the last couple of days. It's completely mental.

They've created their own mythology with little City as the rebel upstarts succeeding against the big bad cartel against all the odds. Anyone who doesn't trumpet the taking points with enough passion is accused of being 'a rag'. Even posters who've been there for years (they're accused of being 'sleeper cells'!).

Apparently there's no connection between state-owned Abu Dhabi businesses that sponsor them and their ownership. And if the Premier League say there is then any US-based business that sponsors a cartel club should be treated the same. The Premier League, pundits, journalists and the government are in the cartel's pocket. Khaldroon is revered as a semi-deity. He has the proof to bring the whole rotten edifice down. He's been biding his time but the day of reckoning is nearly upon us.

I'd like to find it funny but I can't. It's deeply disturbing.

Reads like 9/11 Truthers and MAGAts, they've become a cu.lt.

If we'd be shite for decades and won the lottery you mean? I think if I was a literal child I might be naive enough to act like some of these hysterical bluemoon truthers, but grown adults actively doing it is hilarious.
I'm pretty certian there would be a shed load of the same on here too.

I wonder what this place would be like if the roles were reversed

probably worse. we had loads twerking for qatar and many others would hide behind “well we made money already, so spending a bit more can’t hurt.”

Nah. Strip them of their trophies as well.

That wont happen. And that way City will always whine about "we were the better win and deserved to win". I actually think the punishment will be worse if there forever is an asterisk after the name City. But of course there should be other punishments as well.

I don't want them relegated - the teams in the lower leagues shouldn't be punished over something that is P.L issues. And having City destroying them every week would hurt them.

My recommendation for punishment would be something like this:

City's prizemoney for the first 3 seasons will go to all the teams in the lower leagues. Teams in Championship share 70%, League 1 share 20% and League2 share 10%
No participation in Europe for the first 3 season regardless of wins in domestic cups
No transfers for 2 seasons
And a point deduction over 5 years. For instance 50, 40, 30, 20 and 10 points (Gradually less impact)

This will mess City up over the next 7-8 years. They will have no chance of reaching C.L at least the first 3 seasons. Their net income will drop due to lack of prizemoney and C.L - which makes it much harder to spend money when they are allowed to do so. With no European Cup guaranteed for 3 years, signing top players will be very difficult even when they are allowed to do so. Fewer top players would want to go to a team guaranteed a point deduction for 2-3 seasons. And a lot of top players will want to leave City so they can play C.L

But they wont be relegated

Anti-vaxxers, space deniers, Trump supporters, Reform UK voters, the list goes on.

Everett is quite outspoken with his beliefs, and his remarks have proven controversial on several occasions. Perhaps the best-known of these was his denial of the existence of dinosaurs. He was quoted as saying, "God created the sun, the stars, the heavens and the earth, and then made Adam and Eve. The Bible never says anything about dinosaurs. You can't say there were dinosaurs when you never saw them. Somebody actually saw Adam and Eve eating apples. No one ever saw a Tyrannosaurus rex." He also derided fossils of dinosaur bones as man-made fakes.

Things that didn't happen has entered the chat...
A City fan patting himself on the back for point scoring about a tragedy which meant English clubs were banned from competing in Europe for 5 years. I suppose they were gutted about that at a time where they were battling it out with *checks notes* Shrewsbury Town in the second division.

Reading through Blueloon is always amusing. There was a poster who sensibly questioned why they didn’t hire people who could entice independent sponsorship to avoid any related party scrutiny, and they inevitably called him a ‘Rag’. They’re deranged.

Keyboard Jihadis prepared to defend their sugar daddy oil state til the end - and hopefully League Two. None of them care about their club becoming a proxy club for a dubious UAE state, or the fact they’re now universally synonymous with flagrant cheating. Sad pathetic little lives they must lead if they’d sell their arse for a period of hollow ‘success’

Martin the Whalrus Samuel is held up as some kind of oracle, fighting the good fight for them - when in reality his son is/was on the City payroll, and the heavy bloke no doubt has residually benefitted from this affiliation.

It’s sad really, their delusion. They genuinely seem to believe they’re the defiant good guys, and not the Dictator’s play thing they really are.

I'm sure it has been repeated on Blue Moon, but one of their more popular retorts on Twitter has been whatabouting our debt and crumbling facilities which is baffling even for a fanbase that has lost its grip on reality. Deep down it has to kill them to know that at the end of the day, our stature overshadows theirs to the extent that they can keep their unlimited funds and all we need is a standard structure required at a big club to compete with them. Nobody needs the Glazers more than Blue Moon.

Never known a fanbase to have such a chip on their shoulder. They know deep down they’re just a shithouse club who bought the league. Get the banner back out next season.

Exactly. And that’s the worst part about those corrupt cnuts. They provide joy to our rivals, as well as of course running down our club.

It's always been about the inferiority complex with their 'fan' who was there pre despotic regime. They weren't known as 'the bitters' for nothing.
Now that their new 'fan' has arrived they think that it is unjust and unfair treatment of the greatest club to have ever existed.
In reality they were barely bigger than Bolton Wanderers, but now have nowhere near the esteem.
They can scream and shout about how great they are but everyone else knows the reality.
Cheats forever and will forever be known as 'the 115'.
A facsimile of a top club. A despots idea of class, honour and pride.

We kind of saw it. Qatar were not an exact point of comparison in terms of outright cheating the sport. But plenty of people bent over and gaped their arseholes at the mere whiff of some petrodollars.

At least half our fan base would be doing the same shit.

Since this is a big season for City with their day of reckoning coming in the Autumn I thought we should have a new thread to keep up with Bluemoon during this difficult time for their fans.

They have already lost their opening 2 friendlies against Celtic and Milan which cant have gone down well with their fans.

Trial begins in November.

Lets hope that they get what they deserve and we never have to deal with them in the PL ever again.
