On signing Gael Clichy from Arsenal

Very happy with this signing... have rated Clichy a long time as one of the best left backs in the league... to get him at age 26 and for 7 mill is just an awesome piece of business...

Very welcome Gael!!

 He's either Wumming or he's completely delusional!

City concentrate as always on buying generally decent men with good attitudes and fair minds, will fit in perfectly.

The rags have shown everyone how to win through threats, bullying, foul tactics and the morals of a polecat, and to be fair to them they have used that nasty twisted and warped recipe to earn success, We will now demonstrate how to win it fairly and like gentlemen, whilst they fall apart and are left resorting to their usual underhand tactics but from now on finding out the hard way they are not the tactics true footballing greats need to demonstrate

I know football fans tend to be biased but this post is just off the scale.

Ignoring the 'Utd only win by cheating' part, which is pretty much standard from any rival fans, the bits in bold were especially funny.

Only decent men with good attitudes? You have Craig 'Putter' Bellamy on the books. Not to mention the well adjusted Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez duo. Or Emmanuel Adebayor etc etc.

You will now demonstrate how to win fairly and like gentlemen? In the time it took for me to type that your owner has just generated enough cash off the interest of his own, personal, fortune to buy Gael Clichy. Nothing fair about that when it's just landed upon you and in no way due to Citys success (Two words that should never be beside each other).

I hate City.

Bluemoon is not working following Tevez's statement

Apparently, Clichy has said something along the lines of most Mancunians support City. They must give them a fecking script to read when they sign.

mind you this is just bollocks

David Ginola and Fabian Barthez aren't amateurs, they should have beaten the Marseille first team even with just Evra playing on his own.

Even the Prince of Monaco was sat on the bench taking the place of United's number 2 and he's got grade 3 piano.

Shocking stuff.

To be fair most of them are saying that United played well and that City are bottlers as usual.

They're not as bitter as RAWK therefore not as funny.

Bluemoon is a decent forum. It's still funny, mind.

City fans don't seem half as bad as Liverpool fans. Bluemoon seems fairly decent from the little bits I have read.

Seems Fergie does have total control of the press...
I've not seen any headlines pointing out Nasri's decision to "snub" United.
In his interviews, he makes it quite clear he believes we will overtake United in the future, and wanted to be part of it.

With the press being so eager to use the word "snub" at the mere hint of a player saying they don't want to come here, you would think they would have no choice but to run the word with this transfer.

United wanted him. United bid for him. There was even articles saying United would try to derail the transfer to us at the last minute.
Yet the moment it actually happens, they all go mute.
Even when Nasri actually states the fact he chose us over them, nothing!
This transfer has "snub" written all over it, but nobody from the "free" press has got any balls to go with it.

Anybody reading this from the press should take a long hard look at yourself.
Is Fergie that scary? Would it matter long term if he banned you from a few press announcements?
I bet you didn't join the press to become fergies whipping boys.
All fans think the press is biased against their team, but the evidence is just stacking up against you at the moment.
Every good thing at City seems to get a negative spin.
Every article has the tag line "big spending" "mega money".
Every time Joey Barton misbehaves it's the "ex City player Joey Barton". He's been gone for four years FFS!
Even when Joey signs for QPR You will just change the line from "ex" to "former" City player Joey Barton!

Quite sad really...

Nope, there's a fair few munich references floating about there. A forum where you can talk shit like that and not get pulled up on is never going to come anywhere near being described as decent. That's why I like this place so much. Any twat making a hillsborough comment knows they're gone.

Much like the New York cop fella with his broken windows approach to policing, that makes for a much better posting environment.

this thread is full of some shite.

like this.

They rarely face top sides in Europe, they piss on the teams that no one has ever heard of and get humiliated when they face a real club.

Spurs got to the last 8 of the CL and barring a tragedy, we should make the final 8 easy on our 1st attempt.

Ferguson's European record is laughable.

I just want to see them play in a match that I could say was 'competitive'.

Teams play United believing they've no chance and as a result they get battered.

That's all I was saying but yeah, I think we'll crush them like the feck pigs they are :)

Dwell on it. It's brilliant that people always want to claim this claim this or that about us. Truth is, like the dippers, our history actually means something, but thanks to SAF our future does too.

They just hate that they have now become everything they claimed we are. Souless, money to spare and full of foreign fans. Difference is we got to that stage by being a great football club first and foremost. They crave everything we have, now they've sold their soul, I wonder how much it'll mean in the long term.

Well, maybe not that one.

Well, maybe not that one.

trust me, more and more people are starting to support them, when they beat us in the FA cup last season, i was in Sweden and a friend of mine was giving me a bit of stick about it, addressing City as "we" so i asked him: "since when did you become a City fan?" to which he replies: "Dude, I've been supporting City for a year now" :wenger:
