Its been a City 'thing' by celebrating on the pitch where league success is concerned for generations- never with any serious problems.
Certainly our last 3 league titles (1968 Newcastle, 2012 QPR and 2014 West Ham) were followed by memorable celebrations on the pitch.
Our promotions in 1985 (Charlton), 1989 (Bradford) and 2000 (Blackburn) were also celebrated the same way, so was our play-off semi final victory against Wigan in 99.
Im a little old for this now but i confess to trespass in 85, 89, 99 and 2000. If the fans want to enjoy the moment on the pitch after victory to seal the trophy, or even after the last home game then whats the problem? Some who feel the need to dictate how to behave will of course think differently- well have a day off!
Goading the opposition fans or having a go at opposition players is a different matter, lock em up for that!
Ive a feeling when we reach the Champions League final after an epic semi final home win the pitch invasion will happen anyway!!! We will probably get banned from the final!
