Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

What footballer growing up watching legends like Niall Quinn and Shaun Goater didn't dream of putting on that famous blue strip and stepping out onto the hallowed turf at the Etihad stadium?

To be fair to him, it seemed every time I saw us play against city they did feed the goat and that fecker scored.

The rags are making a big splash with a gurning Richard Branson holding up a rag shirt to announce that Virgin Money is their latest sponsor. So that's another company on my blacklist. I've got two fixed term ISAs with Virgin Money that mature within the next couple of months so they'll both be transferred to another provider or cashed in.

Bollocks that's the mobile contract not being renewed then.

Absolutely bizarre.

I've flown Etihad before and they were excellent but then again I'm a reasonable human being. Seems absurd to boycott something just because they're our sponsor.

We should start being sponsored by food and water.

We could actually do that forum a favour by getting sponsored by some brand of bitter.

They would then stop being so.

Paul Pogba - an ex-United player they're NOT interested in - Thread started 27th of June. 186 pages.

The funny part is every other post is about how over rated he is or he's not really going to sign for us. Utterly bizarre obsession with United.

They could have a thread about City legends and every other post would be about United.

The Rag witch hunt is neverending. The paranoia invades all discussion as they try to smoke out the traitors. Someone called "Blue Mooner" was accused of being a closet rag because his review of the new City shirt was suspiciously positive.

Just taken delivery of the £90 home shirt and it is absolutely brilliant. I would go so far as to say my favourite ever City shirt. The badge is out of this world, the quality is amazing and looks absolutely stunning. I like the dark blue sleeves as I like the contrast of dark blue and light blue and it gives some additional character and design to the shirt. The attention to detail and technical quality of the shirt is also like nothing I have seen before. The dark vent down the side actually expands to reveal white webbing which presumably helps the skin to breathe. There's also tiny holes on the back I presume tomake it more breathable

THIS is how a true City fan would react to the new shirt:

I went to the shop at the ground on Friday morning, there were 3 times as many staff than fans....or should I say customers these days. Got to say it's the vilest kit we've ever had, cheap nasty shit. The colour on the sleeves makes the blue look dull & almost grey/blue, it's hideous & it's not a City kit, you could tell the staff were embarrassed by the sales, just no-body was buying it.

That old O2 from the Gooner kit would create the perfect sponsor trifecta (sorry, don't know how to make that little '2' to signify it as oxygen!)

They're obsessed because most people outside of England don't even know they exist. They need us for the exposure. :)

I celebrate every insult and every childish dig, because it reaffirms the fact that we are the big boys. Clear case of tall poppy syndrome. Hated, adored, but never ignored.

They actually had a seperate Pogba thread with a massive amount of posts, posts in which they creamed themselves over Pogba because he was linked with them. Once Di Marzio linked him to us the morons quickly deleted that megathread and started a new:lol::lol:

Yeah it was about 33,000 or 34,000 posts long, had been running for about 18 months.

As soon as the links to United grew strong (and I posted the link in this thread saying how many posts it had been), magically it was deleted by the owner because it was supposedly 'slowing down the site'. Yeah, how convenient.

A fecking bunch of obsessed and bitter cnuts. It's hilarious how much they hate us, more so than their own club.

They're just a bunch of despicable people. 'Rag' this, 'Rag' that, and that's it.

Why the hell are they being so bitter towards Virgin and Richard Branson when it was announced that they would be sponsoring us? Jesus, it's like they're a bunch of twelve year olds.

This one made me chuckle, when we claim our transfer fees are misreported including all wages, businesses and swapping € for £.

£86m this morning. By the time he signs it'll be down to £50m.........in the papers anyway.

Cards on the table United will have the strongest squad in the league if Pogba signs.
Bluemoon Reply said:
No they won't. But they will have a squad which is failling if it doesn't compete, especially as the refs will be under instruction more than ever.

The fact they know what they're posting is embarrassing. Do we lock threads over here because we're an embarrassment because it slows the server down?
Bluemoon said:
Are we going to wait until he's officially a rag before locking this thread ? Strikes me keeping it open just gives more oxygen to the under covers hiding in plain sight on Bluemoon.

I used to stay away from Carlsberg as long as they were on the Liverpool shirt.
Counts as food, doesn't it? :)

The only bigger mistake would be spunking 100m+ on a guy that hasn't proven anything, see him suffer with the pressure put on him by the size of his fee and then watch as he becomes another Jap Van Stam that has to be sold for less than half the price they paid for him because 'it just didn't work out'

Jaap Stam didn't work out apparently fellas.

It's definitely the worst forum of all the big Premier League forums - which is odd because I've always had a fairly good impression of Man City fans from elsewhere.

Maybe it's a case of a few posters setting the standard which others either follow or which chases them away (which is understandable - I've started avoiding Arsenal forums, where the negativity and angrier-than-thou posturing just gets dispiriting).

Honestly most real life City fans I know are fine, always bizarre reading bluemoon, just comes across like so many are trying ridiculously hard to sound like true fans, and yet the ones you actually meet on the street are actual human beings capable of intelligent thoughts.

It's a ridiculous forum, where credibility is gained only by showing how much you hate the "rags".

Of all the nonsense posted on that cesspit of a forum, and there's been an ungodly amount, that Jaap Stam comment has to be the worst of them all.

Where are these? Of all 10 City fans i know there is only 1 with even half brain. And that's the fact he's a design engineer- he's knowledge of football etc is crap.

Tbf he admits later he meant Veron not Stam.
I don't go on that forum and only read what's in here so I didn't see that. I don't know how you can mix up Veron and Stam but I guess it is Bluemoon after all so you can't expect them to know any better. Still, that doesn't take away the fact it's a cesspit, though. :p

Pretty much every City fan I know is a lovely person. One of my older brothers, one of my uncles, the family next door (bar the mum who's a red), and friends are all nice people who, despite being City fans, don't need to say "rag" every other sentence in order to survive. Sure, they take pleasure in seeing United fail, but they don't give off the vile hatred towards United that Bluemoon posters seem to.

Every club has it's set of idiots and I know for certain that there are plenty of nice City fans out there so we shouldn't go generalizing them based off a few numpties.

I honestly don't get it... did Guardiola really say that he wanted to play for City? Did Bony ever say that he dreamt as a child to put on their jersey? Are they aware of where City was at that time?

I can't stand such comments as they're 1000% bullshit. Noone believes a word of it, not even the most deluded fan can hear that and think "ohh he did, how nice". Say that they've joined a nice club with lots of potential for silverware and such. But don't feed us bullcrap like you've got a tattoo of the club hidden somewhere on your body... I know it's media training and such, but seriously

But perhaps the delusion is stronger in some people?

The upcoming friendly will be interesting when its a sea of red and a smattering of blue shirts.

Much like the Madrid Vs United friendly a couple of seasons back. That was funny.

If you repeat it enough then eventually it will stick. The younger generations won't know where City was 15-20 years ago. Much like the generation born after 2000 have grown up only seeing Chelsea's success and an 15-18 year old might say it's been a childhood dream of mine to follow in Drogba's footsteps and play for Chelsea.

I hope you're right. The current odds have them as 2nd favs, without the Pogba signing factored in (if it happens). Don't forget they'll get a lot of 'help' next season. You don't spend that kind of money without a media wankfest which inevitably trickles down to our wonderful premier league referees.

I don't think they have enough to beat us on a level playing field but I do expect some 'questionable' decisions.

Yes, signing Pogba would get the refs on our side. Guess they forgot the 4/5 decisions they got in the final 5/6 weeks to help them into 4th last season.

As true as there are career-ending injuries, there are also career-ending transfers.
Pogba's signing with the rags is definitely one.
I hope he enjoys seing his career taking a u-turn for the worse, fights for 4th spot while we rack-up silverware.
And by the way, it has to be the worst peace of football-business in history.
I swear if we ever buy-back Boateng for anything close to £50M we would be the mendatory laughing stock of the whole media-rag-sucking-balls pack.
