Thread ban City fans that are derailing the thread after a warning.
The lad's become a scapegoat for the nation, prejudged, the reports written before each game kicks off.
UK Media decided that our Raheem is the official Engerland scapegoat then.
Had Raheem stayed on the pitch we win -simple as that. You don't change tactics, sit back and take your pace out of the team for a leaden footed slow player. Sterling played very well.
So according to Ian Wright, Kane was not at his best and maybe Sterling, but Sterling should be most worried about his place in the starting lineup. How do you explain that?
Sterling picked out by our blackmailer pundit friend as the one who should be dropped
what a surprise - he just can't help himself - utterly sickening!
Sterling is close to the very last player you should be dropping from that side. His very presence forced Russia to be more conservative wherever he was, always looking out for him. If we had an attacker out there that was going to make something from nothing it was Sterling. That's not blue tinted specs, that's just him being the only even partially unpredictable attacker with pace.
he had a great game... couple of errors but on the whole he was excellent...
haters gonna hate
What exactly did the great Martial do last season? And Rashford? And Rooney for that matter-aside from play in the most boring rag team in decades. Sterling has bags of potential-I thought he played well tonight. Beat his man numerous times, carried the ball well, his touch was overall good and he was often too quick for the rest of the team to keep up. He stays on the pitch and England win.
you should watch him with the commentary and punditry turned off friend, Sterling was the major England threat throughout this game and the previous one when he was brought on.
Caller after caller on Talk Shite blaming the whole thing on Sterling.
Haters gonna hate - he will have the last laugh next season under Pep.
Looks at times as though he's playing with an over inflated beach ball.
Let's not beat around the bush, he was garbage tonight.
If his decision making and final play stays the same I can easily see Sterling play for West Brom 3-4 yrs from now.
He's was good for 60 mins but as the gaps appeared in front of him he shit himself. Imagine Bale or Ronaldo with all that space. It's not just talent it's conviction and confidence which he sadly lacks in abundance and has done for months.
Killed their title hopes for a start. What exactly did the great Martial do last season? And Rashford? And Rooney for that matter-aside from play in the most boring rag team in decades. This x1000, I don't think the bias is near as bad as alot of BM make it out to be and I think alot of City fans are just tetchy about criticism cause we went from being the lovable losers to not liked winners if that makes sense.
But we have to be honest we are going to get more stick than United because simply United have biggest fan base and are the most popular club. I think it suits the media to make City the bad guys when United are the worlds arguably biggest club. It creates a good media dynamic of the old traditionalist club who have always been successful having a hard time while their city rivals who used to be their whipping boys have sold their soul and become the bad guys to kick United while they are down. It makes sense when United fans bring alot more clicks and buy alot more papers than City fans simply because media need revenue.
But its not been near the amount of bias or deliberate tearing down BM thinks and reporters are just calling it as they see it with their maybe slightly traditionalist coloured glasses (United, Arsenal, Liverpool) etc... Its human nature to be biased against something that's come to take down what you love and I think City's rise has hit Liverpool and Spurs fans more than United because of CL qualification. Everyone needs a scapegoat for their own clubs failures and City's lotto win just happens to be it. United fans for what its worth seem to be more honest about it being their own teams and clubs doing than those other clubs who can't see their own faults.
I remember a couple of headlines saying Rashford killed City's title hopes and such. So whilst for a fan like you it could have been clear you weren't going to win it, points wise it's the derby defeat that set you back big time.
I wish. We were out of the title race weeks before the derby even took place.
As somebody who's a huge fan, he has to start doing more, his end product is even worse than Walcott's at the moment.
He doesn't move enough off the ball for me, and though he has more natural talent than Martial, he does nothing to suggest that he's going to keep up with him.
Anyone notice that after Schweinsteiger’s extravant goal celebration tonight, the referee, (a certain Martin Atkinson) immediately blew the final whistle.
Funny that, because after the infamous 4-3 defeat, the BBC were quick ro remind the viewers that time should always be added for goal celebrations.
I even remember MOTD2 counting the time between Bellamy’s equalizer and United kicking off.
Obviously they've since forgotten the rule.
If these guys had played for a different club, would they have played for England?
Off the top of my head: Gary Bailey, Paul Parker, Mike Duxbury, Mike Phelan, Wes Brown, Kieran Richardson, Phil Jones, Wilf Zaha, Tom Cleverley, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford....funny, but they seem to have something in common. (I'm sure I've missed a few)
And if Kelechi were English, would he have been fast-tracked like Mr Rashford?
I think we should be told.
It's actually quite sad. You qualified for CL, Pep is your coach but still so bitter.
Dear Martin Atkinson
Do you remember that time when you refereed the Germany-Finland game in Hamburg in 2010?
Do you remember the Easyjet flight to Manchester the following afternoon when you absolutely shat yourself after spotting my Manchester City retro shirt in the Departure Lounge?
Do you remember the reason why you shat yourself?
Do you remember Craig Bellamy’s last minute equalizer at the Swamp?
Do you remember adding 30 seconds to the clock for City’s celebration, and then playing on, and on, and on, until United scored?
Funny that, because after Schweinsteiger’s extravagant lap of honour tonight, you immediately blew the Final Whistle.
Once a Prick
Always a Prick
Yeah good post. This x1000, I don't think the bias is near as bad as alot of BM make it out to be and I think alot of City fans are just tetchy about criticism cause we went from being the lovable losers to not liked winners if that makes sense.

Seemingly, all of that happened without a word being exchanged. An entire conversation, spanning years, that took place entirely inside one man's twisted mind.Indeed it is.
Because they deep down know that pep is only there for the money along with nearly every other person at that club. It's actually quite sad. You qualified for CL, Pep is your coach but still so bitter.
I wish. We were out of the title race weeks before the derby even took place.
Still bitter about the defeat 7 yrs ago
Indeed it is.
Indeed it is.
They still have a playoff to do, don't they? I'd love to see them miss it because of an injury time goal. It's actually quite sad. You qualified for CL, Pep is your coach but still so bitter.
Because they deep down know that pep is only there for the money along with nearly every other person at that club.
They might be rich but they are still a club that people are very meh over worldwide
When the season starts later on this year, and it come's to the F.A. Cup which no doubt the BBC will show along with BT Sport. If they show a match involving Manchester City let's see if they can be impartial or not. If not then I suggest that they should be swamped with E-Mails about being biased. We can't do anything about the BBC but we can with B.T. Sport, by saying that we will drop them and don't wish our subscription to continue any longer. If we all did that then maybe their will be a change in their attitude towards us.
How are they reacting to the Laporte news?
Coward
How are they reacting to the Laporte news?
Must enjoy having no international caps haha
So he wants to stay at Bilbao...f*cking Bilbao! I'd understand if he was in a team that actually competes for something more than the 4th place trophy in La Liga. Wow, zero ambition for a 21 year old!
My thoughts are he had agreed to come and bottled it at the 11th hour shit bag, enjoy a trophyless career!
Indeed, anyone who doesn't want to work under Pep who will improve them can do one, especially if they play for a shite team.
That's fine by me if he wants to stay at Bilbao finish 5th-8th every season and never win anything. Whilst we'll still be challenging for everything and have the best manager in the world incoming
Obviously it's bad news for us but if he doesn't want to play in the most competitive league in the world with one of the best teams playing in the champions league and winning trophies pretty much every season under the best manager in the world who's playing style suits him down to the ground, then I'm pretty sure he's got the bigger loss in this one. Problem is now we have to find someone else who would fulfill that role, and there aren't many out there who could do that apart from stones.
He can f*ck off and enjoy 8th place in La Liga year on year.
coward.
Who said we wanted him???
No, we are one of the major attractions. We have the most sought after coach, playing in the most sought after league, playing in the most sought after European competition with the most sought after facilities. If Aymeric Laporte, playing in a team that settles for a mid table finish in the La Liga, rejects us he is the only person missing out. John Stones certainly won't blink at a move the same way Gundogan didn't blink at a move.
It's funny, I'm not actually that bothered that this one didn't happen. Was looking at costing a fortune and just recently had a horrendous injury. There are others out there, and personally I feel there's still a lot of potential in mangala and otamendi
Go for Ashley Williams and spend the rest on CM
