Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Toothless managerial display if you ask me, surely with ten minutes to go it's better to lose 2 or even 3 nil but giving it a go.

Mangala or Otemendi never once got sent into the box, not only that but there best source of a cross never got on to the field. I'd personally have preferred the direct cross of Kolorov in the situation City were in, Sterling offered nothing they already had, at least Kolorov would have given the defenders something to think about.

Ah well, lets hope their league form is hit by the Kompany injury.

I think Pellegrini lost the players a long time ago and if they didn't have it in them as a collective to get up for this game, there was nothing he could say or do to change things for them.

Announcing Guardiola so early in the season has been a disaster.

This. I do not understand why they did this. Also, I don't think Pellegrini deserved such treatment. I'm one of the few who think he's actually pretty decent coach.

I think the reports suggested that Pelligrini was always aware when he signed for City that they will continue to go for Pep during his time & he agreed knowing that condition. Apparently he was also asked when /how they should announce the decision when it was finalised, and he opted to get it out the way there and then.

Could be wrong though.

He's looked a shell of himself since then, too. They really did wrong by him and, ultimately, it has backfired right in their face.

There's a very real possibility of no CL football for them next season at this rate.

And to think he's on £250k a week and he honestly couldn't give one single feck about even trying half the time.

I blame the lack of a birthday cake.

Pellegrini didn't get the selection right at all. Nadia from Bake Off should have been on the bench then you'd have seen Yaya trying!:(

They just didn't really go for it, did they?

If you just need one goal to go through to a champions league final - you throw the kitchen sink at it.

You look at their squad and performances, I can't say it's better than ours.
.

I guess the thing is though, at least they know they are having a managerial change at the end of the season and they will most likely improve their squad quite sufficiently. We are currently in limbo, not knowing what the feck is going to happen after the FA Cup Final.

The fans don't know that doesn't mean the club doesn't. Also, I am sure we still plan on improving the squad even if we don't sack lvg

Yeah I was talking about their fans. It must feel a lot better being wank but knowing a far better manager is coming in.

It was a very odd performance, across both legs actually.

They created almost nothing in over 3 hours of football, it was like they were playing for penalties from the first minute of the tie. Real Madrid were no better than average and yet really could have won 3 or 4-0 on aggregate. There have been shittier semi finalists, Schalke against us for example in 2011 were woeful, but I don't know if I can remember seeing a team who seemed less arsed than City.

Especially when all they needed was one goal.

Many empty seats on the flight out there? If not, where were they all? Feckin part-timers.

I agree, but wasnt he on 300k per week?

Oh... Wait... You're talking about yaya

Let's be fair Rooney is declining and god knows he's recently had a period of atrocious form but i doubt you could fault the guys effort.

To act billy big balls obviously.

But to be fair other teams do the same without it affecting their season too much.

It's hardly served them well though, has it? The club has stayed quiet throughout the Mourinho rumours. I'm sure they've looked at City and don't want any additional adverse affects on the team as a result of premature announcements.

As it should be. Nothing good would come from undermining the current manager by announcing he's being replaced half way through a season when we are still in contention for CL and a Cup.

Some fans might be happier but thats about it.

Yup. I'm not saying that City done the right thing. I was speaking purely from a fans perspective. I would be much more content watching the shite we are serving up if I knew that Mourinho was coming in.

Their form was shite even before the Pep announcement. The announcement just ended any chance of recovery.

Yaya Toure: I thought Manchester United wanted to sign me from Barcelona... until my agent told me it was the team in blue

Yaya Toure admits he thought it was Manchester United who wanted to sign him from Barcelona – and his agent had to tell him it was the team that play in blue who actually approached him.

The midfielder signed for Manchester City for £24million in 2010 and insists he has no regrets, despite initially thinking he could be heading for Old Trafford instead.

Toure travelled with the City squad ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday night against Real Madrid, despite recently struggling with injury.

‘To be in this squad that is making history, it’s unbelievable,’ Toure said.

‘When I was at Barcelona and initially approached by Manchester City I thought it was Manchester United that wanted me.

‘My agent had to tell me it was the team in the blue shirts.

‘At the time Manchester United were putting Manchester City in the shadows. It was unbelievable. Manchester United is a big club and I respect that club a lot.
