I dont think Rooneys going to stroll back into this team myself, i think Berbatov and Hernandez will and deserve to make it hard for him, he has it all to prove and as you say we really haven't missed him a great deal.

And well yeah we've been crucified in the attacking area, wish Giggs would hurry up and get back fit least then we can field a proper attacking option down the left flank, we need Giggs back for the villa game.

Would Rooney have made much difference? In the games we had score draws I doubt it. Maybe his presence would have been missed most in the scoreless draws?

Its because in days of yore ( maybe between the wars) united were forced to use clothing coupons to buy a new kit. From what Ive read someone is supposed to have said something like '' United were virtually in rags'' during a game. Not entirely sure how true this is but maybe Tom Clare or MRMUJAC who have a far superior knowledge of our history than me may be able to shed more light. Personally I dont give a feck what the bitter blue bastards call us. Im just glad i was born a red and not a blue.
