I think there are plenty of managers who could do better with that squad. Mark Hughes for one and Ian Holloway for another. Even Roy Hodges might shut up about 'rebuilding' and win game or two.

Tonight was not the best performance I have seen by us but theres certainly no need yet for such drastic action. We should have learnt many times by now that sacking the manager does not help one bit. There is no one avilable what so ever at present thats any better than Mancini.
It's still in our own hands regarding qualifying for the next stage, we are on target in the league and everyone is now fit. Its time to get down to business now and the next 2 games are crucial.
You just know Maradonna is going to end up as manager though

Get real. Mark Hughes was a nice guy who was out of his depth. The likes of Bridge, Lescott, Santa Cruz and SWP are just not good enough and they are all Hughes fault.
It difficult to bring in top players when not in Europe. You can't just easily turn around a squad from relegation fodder to Premiership contenders at a flick Dave.
Has Mancini got more points at this stage in the season than Hughes had when he was in charge, despite spending a shit-load of additional cash? I don't think he has.
And correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't newtonheathdave been banging on about how De Jong and Tevez are their most important players? Who signed them? And where are the Mancini signings taking the league by storm?

Mark Hughes had 2 more points at this stage of the season but Hughes had not played all the top 4 teams by game 12 like Mancini would have. I fully expect City to still be in the top 4 come Boxing day. where as we were floundering mid table-ish when Sparky was sacked.
De Jong and Tevez are Citys most important players and I give Sparky his due for getting De Jong but theres no way on earth Tevez was bought by Hughes, he would have had no choice in that. As for Mancinis signings
Boateng - Not played
Kolarov - not played
Balotelli - not played
Yaya - not ripped any trees up yet but will settle
Silva - Absolute class player, will be so important for City
Plus he had the sense to drop Given and replace him with Hart.
Lets see where we are when everything is settled and up and running. No need to pamic yet
Why hasn't he played, out of interest? Injured? He's surely a better option than Bridge.
The Given/Hart thing can't be held against Hughes. He had the good sense to give Hart a season out on loan, which was the making of him. I'm sure he would have made the exact same decision as Mancini this summer but this doesn't mean he could or should have flung Hart in at the deep end 12 months ago.
Boateng has been injured, he damaged his leg on a drinks trolley playing for Germany. Hes had 2 games back now so should be getting back into it now. For me htis is Citys best team and I expect something very similar player wise although tactically it maybe 4-3-3 rather than 4-2-3-1 for the upcoming games

That team is good enough and there should be no excuses now
the feck?!

air hostess hit him on the plane with it lol. Typical city
the worrying thing for me is the fact IF Mancini goes then City WILL appoint Maradonna. Tevez will be on to the owners about it and lets be honest here, no other manager in world football, not even Jose or Fergie would boost the profile of the club as much as Diego would and thats what the owners want. Plus Diego would be able to probably attract most players in world football to the club. Its just got typical City wrote all over this one

Maradonna at City would be hilarious
Maradonna at City would be hilarious
My god that would be fantastic.
It's quite something despite Spending Millions City's best player is Tevez. A player who never excelled at United, and looked quite ordinary in many games.
To be fair I don't understand how any of us can complian. Look at citys team from the opening game of the season 2 years ago when we got tonked of Villa 4-2
--------------------------------Joe Hart-----------------------------------
Vedran Corluka----- Tal Ben Haim----- Micah Richards---Javier Garrido
Etuhu------ Gelson Fernandes---- Michael Johnson-------Martin Petrov
-------------------------------Elano

Now if you had told any blue after this game that within 2 years from this we would be in 4th position, have the team we have now, Mancicni in charge. Nevermind all the other stuff thats gone on then they would have laughed at you. A reality check is needed. Just by looking at that team I have put and our current team I posted earlier then you can see how far we have come in such a short space of time. I am much happier today than I was 2 seasons ago. Let the media and all the idiots demand instant success and laugh at us if it does not come. But with a bit of patience I am certain City will have the last laugh as we are heading in the right direction
It's been a long time since City have been challenging at the right end of the top division and been a genuine threat. The games against United in the cup and at the swamp plus Spurs for champs league place were some of them most exciting City matches I have seen. I want more of that and I want to enjoy it after putting up with all the shit over the years. A few dodgy results is not the end of the world and I like I said with a bit of patience we will come good

Well Eriksson's 2007-8 team beat Man Utd home and away and played some nice football in the process, this lot don't look any better.
well thats uniteds loss and citys gain
Well, you'll finish outside top 4 and get beaten home and away by Man Utd while spending shedloads of money and playing the dullest football outside of Blackburn, which looks like a worse season to me.
