It will be interesting first round I can see a lot of nice clashes. I really like harms and tuppet's teams wonder how they will line up.

diarm's team is also excellent going forward but has to put extra effort into the write up for the midfield pair and defence as I think not many of those are familiar for all, but I really like that front combo.

Aldo also have built a solid team.

Not much difference into most teams. Will be really tight.

Just to clarify the playing together at international level is being in the same squad for a major tournament: in this case the World Cup and the Euros. Even if they had played in the same game outside of there they would be legitimate to play together. This was done to make it easy to research and also the big partnerships are only recognised at major tournaments so allowing the odd game to go is fine.

Be interesting to see how De Vecchi fares. He's the oldest/earliest player in the draft (the older, the trickier, one could say) and has no WC history (unlike Andrade Sr).

He's a legendary player, though - and it should be possible to make a case for him. Source material could be problematic - or rather, it could be problematic to dig up something substantial in English.

Nice pick, though - always good to see new (and very old) players introduced.

Yeah, the 30's WC generation (Andrade Sr, Meazza, Zamora) is a bit easier to sell. But like you wrote, it's always good to see new players introduced. Definitely looking forward to the write-up about De Vecchi.

Outside of the top tier of strikers (MVB, Batigol, Romario, Ronaldo, Puskas, Eusebio, Di Stefano and G Muller) there's not that much between the next level of strikers and think Vieri will fit my system perfectly (I had three others in mind too) That said I could have missed someone.

Outside of the top tier of strikers (MVB, Batigol, Romario, Ronaldo, Puskas, Eusebio, Di Stefano and G Muller) there's not that much between the next level of strikers and think Vieri will fit my system perfectly (I had three others in mind too) That said I could have missed someone.

No doubt about his quality but I was thinking he wouldn't be picked in this draft, he played for half of Serie A clubs in the 90s, don't even know who all he's blocking.

I could have shot myself in the foot for reinforcements but I'm just hoping to make it to the second round for the first time on my own in a mains draft.
