Edwards :( Was stupid to think he would last. I should have picked him before Batigol.

You thought he'd last? I thought he'd be gone in round 2. Particularly as he only really blocks 1 player, charlton

I thought he'd go early, and then when he hadn't gone by the beginning of the 4th round, I thought he'd slipped through the net.

I thought he was going to last as well to be fair. For no other reason but the diminishing number of top strkers

The last all time draft he was gone half way through the first round.

Think there's no shortage of top class strikers in this, everyone will field a world class no.9.

Dunno about that mate. I can think of only one fast striker in the mold of Romario,Ronaldo, Henry, etc.. Others are below that level or target men. I think the CM position has the most riches out of all positions where the gulf of quality is not that big to the ones already picked.

Joga's team is absolutely ridiculous

Breitner is a great pick at this stage. Can fill into 2 positions easily.

Ronaldo and Romario and their respective 60s-70s equivalents Eusebio and Muller are fairly unique for sure. There are a couple of Henry's level with pace still knocking about. Not a dig at Henry, he can be devastating in the right set-up.

Well I could think of only 1 that is about his level(but rate him a bit below) who is a contemporary one, but the oldies are a bit target men which were not a fit for the setup.

I thought of waiting for Henry another round but IMO he would've definitely be picked up...

So after all of Maz's complaining he ends up fecking off for a couple hours and then not pm'ing anyone a pick ?

I noticed he did that earlier in the draft as well. I'm out now but at home I've been keeping a little table of minutes per pick. Whoever finishes last should have to play their matches in the infamous Grey kit of 96/97

 Post it! Was it Green Smiley that posted a list like that a few drafts ago?

I thought Masopust and Edwards played left half.

Formally speaking, you could say they were both left halves in terms of their primary position (in spite of being right footed, as such). But it hardly matters when they're used (as they will be, I presume) in a modern formation: I see no problem whatsoever with pairing them up in the middle of the park, playing whatever specific roles you assign to them. Both were extremely two-footed as well, which is a bonus

Masopust in his prime didn't play as an according-to-Hoyle left half anyway – he operated more as a genuine central midfielder of the modern kind even back then
