Best band to come out of Britain....Ever

Tough one, obvious answer would be Beatles or Pink Floyd for me.

But it wouldn't be me if I didn't stick Radiohead in the hat too :)

Radiohead would definitely be in the top 5. Absolutely amazing band, particularly live

You got a kidding me, smoker... :D

I love that band.

True, true, was round a mates in Liverpool, didn't even know who he was till later on in the evening when we got talking. Top bloke may I add.

Been to see them and My Dying Bride on the same bill in Bradford, great gig I must say.

How cool. Congrats !

"Judgement" is my favourite album. So dark and depressing.

They are really masters of playing that kind of music.

Obviously it`s very subjective, but Zep and The Beatles would seem to have the best credentials.

just on all the evidence, sales and history like it or not it has got to be the Beatles. Consider bthe No 1's in US and UK and current sales 40 years or so after their high . Where will Blur, Oasis, Radiohead, Sex Pistols et all be in the same sort of time frame. Sorry gone and forgotten but Yesterday, Long and Winding road etc will still be played on

fecking right, and you are missing great ones as "yes" "genesis" "jethro tull"
The Police,Sex Pistols, the Kinks, the Who,The Animals,The Yardbirds...the list goes on and on.Amazing all the music that comes from the Foggy Rock that is England.

Loads mate, couldn't really name names because I wasn't a huge fan, but I was into rock/metal in my younger days so I am in a position to comment, I wouldn't otherwise.

Just found it odd that that they were in this thread about the greatest band of all time, even their biggest fan would find it difficult justifying their place amonst the elite.
