Having Mkhi, we didn't need another player similar to him.

Out of Monaco, Mendy and Fabinho are the players we need. Those players linked to them is bit of a concern for me.

Not sure we really need Mendy with Darmian Blind and Shaw.

Well this has escalated quickly

I wonder if those French reports that said we wanted him just forgot there's two clubs in Manchester now?

Can't believe Monaco will allow their side to be decimated in such a way. Everyone of their players has been linked here and there. The reality is probably 2/3. They've got Tiellemans to replace Silva and I think ultimately that's a better player they've got right there
Tielemens definitely won't be a replacement for Silva, more like Bakayoko.

Tancredi has been blacklisted on this very site for being a complete bullshitter but now everyone wants to believe his tweet, just because it makes city look bad?
he's blacklisted? I thought we moved to un-blacklist journos?

He said some accurate things during Pogba's transfer ordeal, IIRC.

If we believe Jose gave woodward the list awhile back, this small meltdown is a complete non-issue.

we'd have no issue getting him and we can beat city on price.

Canal+ is probably the biggest loser of this rumour because they seemingly didn't clarify with their source on which Manchester club was the buyer.

We both know who fits the bill, and he has incredible creativity in addition to being a brilliant wide-man

Shame that the player in question is going absolutely nowhere this summer, though.

I'd take Neymar, but you're probably talking about Bale

And where does Silva fit in?

Younger Silva for the older Silva?

And these days, the best teams in the world often have incredibly strong benches. Imagine one of the two silva's sitting on the City bench in a Champions League quarter final match?

I said from the get go that I didn't see where he'd fit with us, but it's disappointing to see City sign talented players.

I think there are question marks about his physicality from what I have seen, but when he's (presumably) replacing his namesake then he always managed to cope.

He was unblacklisted last season when he was found to be reliable on quite a lot of things. Check before you talk.

Unless Jardim plans on using him very differently, I think he will play as one of the deeper midfield players.

Particularly since Monaco already have wide players to replace Bernardo.

Arguably the greatest signing in the history of football. May never be surpassed.

Sorry Niall my bad, oh wait.

I forgot I was supposed to track season by season the blacklist status of Tancredi. Ballague has also got a ton of things right too, far more than this fraud, are we all going to take his tweets seriously now?

It's OK, we'll land Griezmann and Douglas Costa. We need a player of Costa's quality more than Silva anyway.
We do? Costa has been average since his honemoon period at Bayern. Doubt any top team would want him.

He's not good enough to lace their boots mate. Just because he destroyed a shit City side doesn't make him the second coming. He was completely nullified by Juve

I'm not saying he's on the same level as Suarez or Messi, I just think his dribbling is similar and I can't think of many better than him at it.

I love a player that can take on and bite beat a man and we seem to lack those kind of players over the last few years.

City already have a much better attack than us, and they're improving it further. Hope we have some big plans to overhaul ours.

Something like that with Aguero and Sterling on the bench?

Oh sorry I assumed you had common sense to not state something without ever checking whether it's true or not. Next time, I'm just gonna assume you talk bullshit, gonna be easy for both of us.

I didn't mean someone from Monaco! I was talking about Ousmane. :D

He isn't a pure wide man either, he likes his freedom and thrives in it. Carrasco would be my favorite alternative.

This place. Two days after the season ends and people are on suicide watch already.

Hate to break it to you, but rivals are going to sign good players too. Especially rivals that are fecking minted.

Ballague is completely unreliable imo.

I hope we sign a player of that mould soon. Been hoping for that kind of signing for quite awhile. Thought this might have been it.

Sane and Bernardo are going to create hell for teams next season.

I think D.Silva will be rotated and they will use a defensive midfielder.

I like Bernardo a lot but not having him isn't the end of the world, it's not even the beginning of a problem. If we sign Griezmann, a more traditional wide man will do the trick but I have no idea about who fits the bill.
Seems to be a problem.
Douglas Costa, who's not that good seems to be the best on the market. I can't even draw a hypothetical list of wide players I'd like us to buy.

I agree that we need a player more the type of Douglas Costa than Bernardo Silva now, unless we want to get rid of Mata and/or Mkhitaryan, which we don't (yet).

Jesus fecking christ, another one we should have absolutely signed. Will look a steal in a few years
