None of these City transfers are expected to go through though. Hughes pretty much confrimed that on 5live. They're just using the last day to demonstrate that they can compete on a financial footing with Chelsea and Manchester United. They know full well that both Chelsea with Robinho and us with Berbatov have spent a long time cultivating the relationship and will expect the deals to go through one way or another.

On the other front, now we have the player with us strengthens Spurs negotiating position. They'll use the puppy dog close with us - sales talk - we're the young girl holding the puppy in the pet shop with the owner who tells us to take it home for the weekend and see if we like it. Of course now we have the puppy we don't want to let go of it, even when the owner tells us how much its going to cost us.

I hope we call their bluff if they ask for £30m+ by telling them we'll send the player straight back. They don't want him back!

 I'd laugh if it was to fall through in the final minutes..

Well probably not actually, that would be quite depressing.

Levy still not allowing us to talk to him. WTF?

It's alright, apparently Berba learnt sign language to speak with his squirrel friends, so we're sorted. The squirrels have saved the day.

i couldnt give a toss about robinho going to city, how much can he really improve them? if he'd gone to chelsea, then i'd be a bit more concerned obviously, but to city? feck if i care

Balague is reporting that people reckon Man City are the next Chelsea in terms of cash power.

Real Madrid want to sell Robinho to Man City rather than Chelsea out of spite according to fat boy

Loan deal for Campbell to Spurs, apparently.

That would be so perfect! Having him over there for a year til they can snatch a better replacement, giving him loads of experience and probably some first team action, something I'm angry with Blackburn over due to Simpson's lack of first team action except for Carling Cup games..

Ey, you've seen a fat lady? Cos I haven't. Patience!

Thing about City and Robinho is that it's even weird than them and Berbatov. At least with Berbatov they had some advantage in that they were able to spend more than us -- we had a limit they were able to far exceed.

But surely that isn't the case with Chelsea? The only thing they have is their huge bank balance and ability to offer giant contracts and transfer funds -- but Chelsea have all that, too. Whatever City can offer, Chelsea can match, and Chelsea have the advantage of cultivating the relationship, a Brazilian manager, at least some level of pedigree (at least the semi-finals of the Champion's League four years running and two Premierships) and are based in London.

City are even more retarded for trying to hijack that deal, and Chelsea are fecking stupid if they let them.

A lot. Petrov and Wright-Phillips on the wings with Robinho and Jo up front is a huge improvement from last season.
