Berba is under contract with spurs, so i expect him to honor his contract and stop acting like the cnut Ronnie and make us look like RealMadDick

Its a big difference though. Ronaldos age, Ronaldo play for one of the with out doubt best teams in the world, also the best league and for a manager who really believe in him. Berbatov dont got the age on his side, he plays for a club who cant be said to be slightly close to one of the best teams in the world and their manager could be a good one, but the rest are fecking amaturs.

Ramos is a superb manager.

If Berbatov doesn't play today, it will say alot me thinks.
United representatives would probably want him to play Chelski, so I doubt that him being on the bench will have a big bearing on the outcome. Maybe if Berbs is in the stands or not even at the bridge it will send out a bigger message.

SSN showed the Spurs team arriving at Stamford Bridge. No Berbatov in sight :D

I knew it was a done deal the minute lou macari, who was the biggest sceptic, agreed berbatov was the one we wanted. Just a waiting game now fellas. The real question is will we bring in owen and henry too, just to make it interesting?

Disagree. United will not want a deal they have spent this long on to go down the shitter because of a last minute injury playing in a needless game.

He's not even in the squad.

Muppetry of the highest order my friend. I'd prefer Welbeck to Owen.

Our definitions of needless differ.

I mean needless from United's point of view, not Spurs' or Chelsea's. If he won Spurs the game today, but got injured, he has gotten us 3 points, and that's it. If he stays fit, and we sign him, then he'll win us many, many more. Hopefully.:) The league won't be lost and won on today's game, particularly if we sign him, IMO.

Why would they want him to play?

I don't know. I understand both arguments. You'd fancy spurs more with berbatov playing but at this stage in proceedings I suppose the risk wouldn't be worth it

Though even just him coming off the bench for 30 should they need it might have been worth it

I wont say yay because Berba is not in the squad today, that could for all we know be done so Berba can get on with playing as soon as the transfer window is closed.

But I really hope we sign him though.

Yeah, to be fair I understand the argument for playing him. But the chances of Spurs doing them for even a point, are slim. Slighter better odds with Berbatov, but he isn't going to paper over the cracks. Just seems like it would a risk not worth taking, given his value, and the possibility of them being able to handle Chelsea, with or without him.. I would wager that SAF would fancy us for the title far more if we had Berbatov instead of Chelsea losing three points today.
