Robinho have not been signed yet, thats news for me anyways?
The Sky Transfer Clockwatch is saying it's a done-deal.
or very near... at the very least.

A 2 point deficit in the league, and a penalty shootout, doesn't really illustrate a gulf between the squads of two teams. We were just so evenly matched.
I do reckon however our squad is good enough to retain our titles, but it must be acknowledged Chelsea have looked to improve in their "problem" areas e.g at Right-back, whereas we are yet to sign the centre forward that may just make our squad complete.
Winning the Premier League and the Champions League. What has United done to keep up?
A 2 point deficit does still illustrate a gulf between the teams, however small that may be.
A 2 point deficit does still illustrate a gulf between the teams, however small that may be. Which is why I don't understand why we would need to keep up. Perfectly logical to say that we should continue to try and raise the bar and improve, but to say we need to keep up confuses me.
They did get a new right back, and that is an improvement I agree. I'm not sure how much of an impact that will have in all honesty though, even with the constant changes there last season no-one really exploited it as a weak point, other than us in the final.
They have as much problem's in the striking position as us, imo. Anelka and Drogba are their two main strikers and then they have a youngster in Di Santo backing them up. Kalou is as much of a striker as Ronaldo, just in case anyone wanted to bring him into the equation. And it seems likely to me that they will go with two up top this season.
Chelea got a bad start last season and had to contend with the African Nations, they also now have a world clas manager and have added Deco and Bosingwa, if Robinho joins too I think we woul dneed to improve in order to stay ahead of them...
There would've been no deficit if they hadn't let Bolton score a last-minute goal, thing that wouldn't have happened if their result still mattered. They broke down once United scored the 2nd against Wigan and threw the game away.
Bosingwa does 2 things, it gives them a good right back and Essien can start in central midfield, the latter also should be available all season as their is no African Nations cupA 2 point deficit does still illustrate a gulf between the teams, however small that may be. i step away from the thread for feckin five minutes, and my name's already being raked through the mud.
MY NAME IS MY NAME!!!!!!
That's just like saying if Ronaldo had played in the match against Chelsea, we might have beaten them and finished further ahead of them. Or if Rooney didn't get injured. Or if a penalty was given.
Fact is, we finished as league and Champions League winners and so were the better team last season.

They only play one upfront so Anelka and Drogba is enough and then they can pull players out of position, Kalou is Drogbas strike partner at international level, they've kids and Shevchenko though he could be leaving, is Pizzaro still around?

We were the better team, but that doesn't mean we had the better squad. We had our injuries, but thankfully our key players in that campaign stayed relatively injury free throughout.
Their back-four last season was in constant upheaval, and their two largest goal threats (Lampard/Drogba) also missed portions of last season through injury. The change of manager also wouldn't have helped things.
This shouldn't at all detract from what we achieved last season, but we got the required luck and misfortune for rivals that often teams need when achieveing what we did last season.
It is amazing how many parralels there are. The whole "dream" thing, the palaver about being given a shirt (albeit briefly, in Berbatov's case) and the "tapping up" accusations.
If anything, Berbatov has behaved worse, by letting this affect his performances on the pitch. Assuming this deal goes through, I wonder if the Ronaldo boo-boys will pause to think about the irony of cheering Berbatov on at the same time?
Truest post i have read in my two years in the caf.Thats the rules in here. Its like, if you have enough post and other members like you, you are protected.
Sky Sports News:
Berbatov boarded a plane from his Bulgarian team camp to Manchester!
But who's to say Chelsea won't have injuries again, and we may go through the season without injuries for the majority of it. We might get some lucky decisions and they might have all of the bad luck.
How come idiots like him get away with these, double standards from caf management...
Missed you in here mate.Amen to that brudda.
you're well ensconced in here I see BR. You like epic threads, as you yourself admitted earlier in this one. I don't know enough about the technical aspects of football to join in with quite such passion as i did in 'that' thread (peace be upon it).
Missed you in here mate.
Anyway it's hard work but someone's gotta do it. Its many years since I've done any ensconcing so it makes a change.
He did sign, yes.Well now I know where to find you BR I guess I'll drop by more often. Have we signed him yet?
(I've actually read most of the thread, but as I said before there are guys on here who know a great deal more than I about the technical aspects of the game; I just sit by and throw in tedious jokes from time to time! He sure looks like the real deal to my limited critical faculties though, I have to say.)
Damn I loved that show... all good things come to an end. Sigh...
Has he signed yet or what?
He did sign, yes.
This thread's been hilarious at times. I actually guffawed yesterday. As was pointed out no-one has actually guffawed since 1946.
Unfortunately the CnutOfAllCnut's has a bit of a vendetta against Dimitar Berbatov. Its clear that he doesnt want him anywhere near our club. You can get that vibe by reading all his posts.
I've actually got to go and do some work for the next couple of hours. So there's a good chance he'll sign in the next couple of hours.
