No. It’s really not. That’s all of your own invention and projection. It’s not a power move. It’s not a dominant vs weaker. It’s not bullying.

When we start calling bad jokes ‘Sexual Harassment’, the whole house of cards starts to come down.

If there’s a power imbalance in that specific video, the aggressor is the girl filming, shoving a camera in another humans face, baiting. She jumps to ‘Humongous what’. She missed the joke. Either deliberately or by being daft. The harassing is done by the holder of the camera. To suggest the power imbalance is running in the other direction in absolutely insane.

All sense of logic and decorum out the window, reframe a discussion with terms that save face, then double down on detestability by ignoring anything you find difficult.

Step back. Take a breath. Ask yourself who the aggressor is in that video. Then be honest with yourself.

I suppose he's intelligent in his methods and marketing, I'll give him that. But I question anyone's intelligence if they sincerely believe more "free market" capitalism is the only solution going forward. And then throw in the assertion that he really believes in his own cultural critiques of rap and the like. An articulate buffoon would be apt imo.

There is no sincere belief. What he does believe is he can take any "weird" view point and back it up with his debate skills. That's what he prides himself on I'm sure.

I tend to avoid him but isn't he just a sophist? I saw a video recommended on youtube where he was talking about debates and how to 'trap' your enemy and it all just sounded like such bullshit. Truth isn't anywhere near the agenda, it's just about 'owning' and destroying' your 'enemy'.

That's surely his technical approach, but at the same time he has a firm ideological agenda tailored to the present-day American "conservative movement". These two things go together quite naturally, of course. It probably also mirrors personal beliefs of his, but it's always hard to tell with demagogues.

If he hadn't already proven to be a racist, maybe, just maybe, I might give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. But this man has proven intolerance over and over and over again in his career so I'm not willing to give him any benefit of doubt.

Yeah, I find it distasteful on many levels. I mean it's just an opportunity to belittle a genre of music which is an extension of a culture that he doesn't belong to. Since when has rap or hip-hop needed to be gramatically correct? Never. Anyway it doesn't surprise me coming from that guy.
