Ben Arfa to Newcastle

The amount of people in this thread that actually rate him. Shocking. Has always been completely flash-in-the-pan with a bad attitude and a poor fitness record. Never rated the guy, ever.

Wouldn't mind us taking a punt on him.

As competition for Ando perhaps? ;)

Some vacation he must have had. Makes the statement "not fat, extra muscles" even funnier.

I was just about to say we should take him on as I'm sure he could still do something but then that picture is just a joke. No professional footballer worth his salt should be letting themselves go like that till they retire at least.

I agree, apart from the never rated the guy part. I rated him at Lyon but his attitude was always awful. He's not even good enough to lace Quaresma's boots!

He needs to go shopping for some new T-shirts.

What a waste of talent, though.

Even before those pictures came out, signing him would be a waste of money. He's rubbish, he can't even make the Newcastle first 11 when he's fit anymore.

Can't make Newcastles starting XI but some would take him here. Baffling, there is such a huge obsession with wingers who score a few wonder goals and do feck all else on here.

He's never been anywhere near our level. Shit most of the time, with a few youtube porn highlights thrown in every now and then.

What's happened this time, did he have a fall-out with Bruce?

What an idiot of a player though - just another waste of talent.

Probably stems from his performance against United which was shocking. Subbed after 30 minutes.

No cliches, analogies or reviews needed. He and Benzema came through at the same time, look at where they are today and look at the dedication of one compared to the other.

Pardew seemed to get a lot of stick for not using him, at Hull it's become obvious why.

Yeah that idiot from TalkSport (Adrian) roasted him, saying what kind of manager would let him go and Bruce is a genius... Looks a cracking decision!

Would love some Newcastle fans to go on there and make him squirm.

It's like he's Ben Arfa player since he joined Hull.

Yeah I can see him moving abroad to somewhere like Turkey.

Shame though, dump him with Morrison, Anderson et al. in the "wasted potential" list.

@Nani Nana, I think now's the time for United to pounce. Who knows how he'd react and develop at a club like United. Plus he's emphatically proven that all of those stories about his bad attitude were just media nonsense, eh?

It's incredible that player with so much natural ability lets it all go down the flush due to being a lazy knob with shit attitude.

His goals against Bolton or Blackburn, so much skill, so much potential, just wow.

I think he had the potential to be one of the best players in the PL. But somehow - and maybe he himself is part of the reason - it didn't happen for him.

There was a user (@Chaky_Best) on the cafe who had played against him in the youth and he was saying that Ben Arfa was even more talented than Nasri.

That's not really a surprise. He was highly rated as Benzema, when he first broke out at Lyon.
