Television Beast Games

Who would’ve thought that this format works way better when there’s a dozen people you know something about instead of a literal thousand of anonymous faces…

The last episodes were quite good, although there’s so much stuff that annoys me to no end!
 
The production value is great, they really edit it to maximise the drama.

Something happens in every single episode, I'm actually going to re-watch this from the beginning when it's over. Some great moments.
 
Can't believe the guy who risked a 1 in 6 chance of winning a life-changing sum of money in order to take that 50/50 coin flip where he could've been eliminated after getting so far. What a dope.
 
I thought the telephone bribe game was one of the lower moments of the series, in comparison to the other games which have taken place.

The coin toss at the end though.... :eek: you've come so far and then do that?!
 
Theory I’ve read is that given he had to rely on a bit of gameplay and trickery to get one of those 6 seats, he’s likely first out of the remaining players - so this is a way to circumvent that. Could just be he’s a natural gambler. But yeah on the face of it doesn’t make any sense.

That’s assuming popularity matters in the final 6, which could end up as a straight up contest. So still a stupid risk based on what he knew when he took it.
 
The only way it'd make sense to do the coin flip is if there was some pre-arranged agreement with the other contestants that if he won and the prize was increased from $5M --> $10M, then he'd get a cut (say, maybe $500k-2M) from the eventual winner. Even then, that's a stretch as he'd only have their word in a game centered around deception.

It's pretty clear the guy is just a gambler. His eyes were wide open when $10m was announced and logic goes out of the way for people who have that compulsion to do seemingly stupid things like risk it all when there's no need to.

He'll be satisfied when he feels his "luck" quotient is up, not by logical assessment.

Coin toss confused me, does he lose his place if it doesn't land on tails?

So he's taking all the risk in order to double the prize pot for the other players. They must be laughing inside, I'd have nothing to do with that coin toss.

They must have signed some agreement not to do such a split. Otherwise they'd have all surely come to an agreement by now.

I can't remember the exact wording used by Mr Beast on the show, but essentially I think yes, that's pretty much what happens - if it lands on tails you're out... Unless there's another twist still to come!
 
Jeff played a blinder at the end there. Went hard at her on the tails thing to get a read off her, which helped him when picking the briefcase. Were there rules about not being able to close your eyes? Think I’d rather just do that than give him a chance to read you.

Gabe risking 50% coin toss then just takes the million instead of a potentially even bigger gamble and reward - I guess he just assumed he would be the one going out. Was slightly surprised he didn’t gamble again though.

Yessi memorising the whole pattern then feckjng getting the starting point wrong - feck sake :lol:

I had to fast forward the teary words to family nonsense at the end - god just get on with it

Jeff mate - $10m ain’t a drop in the ocean when it comes to medical research but hope you enjoy it anyway

The production during the coin toss was pretty ace ngl

technically three times as she could have taken that final bribe too

Though seems like Beast was hinting they may bring her back somehow, maybe in one of his YT videos

was he in her group when she refused the first million? Either way yeah would have been a nice gesture, unless they were either told not to on camera. I’m definitely expecting Beast to give her a shot at a million in some capacity though.
 
Heard his take home will only be about 5 million after tax. I wonder if he could donate a portion to charitable research for his son’s condition out of the original 10 million tax free?

Would just be a drop in the ocean anyway. Medical research costs too much. He’s better off spending it on just making his kid’s life as great as it can be. Which I’m sure he will do.
 
I'm pleased with how this ended and really hope he manages to help his son in some way, but on a separate note - can you imagine how it would have played out if he had done all those mind games, opened the box and it was wrong?
