Nah, Mourinho chafes at having his decisions second guessed and monitored. He works best with an owner he has a good relationship with who let him do as he pleases (Moratti).

We should hire a youth director and set to revamp our coaching system, while Mourinho has free reign of the first team and transfers. He is not enthusiastic when it comes to youths but he'll play them if he thinks they are good enough I.e Varane, Balitelli, Zouma

Someone had a similar phrase about LvG.

Will he be able to feck up Martial as much as he fecked up Hazard or will he just sell him (like he did with Lukaku, de Bruyne, Robben)? Will Man Utd, once they realize how horrible Mourinho is, be as badly fecked as Inter anno 2012 or just Chelsea anno 2007 (only winning the cup in 2009 despite spending more than anyone for several years in a row).

I doubt he'd throw it in the face of the Chelsea fans. His issue is with some of the Chelsea players. They gave up on him for one reason or another.

I'd imagine that it's a mix of us hoping something better/less controversial comes along, us being conserative in an attempt to secure CL football this season, Mourinho having a financial incentive to stay out of work until the summer and wanting to be seen to manage LVG's transition out of the club well.

All of which, IMO, sort of ignores the central issues that we're more likely to get CL football under Mourinho this season, even allowing for the sudden nature of being parachuted in and, just as importantly, allowing the rest of the season to serve as a dry run for next season, so that he can figure out what he wants to do with the squad ahead of time. Though perhaps that won't be an issue in the same way as it was with LVG as I could see Mourinho being brutal in terms of ins and outs.

Ugh. Here we go again. Jose's term at RM was a shitshow. No matter how you want to spin it, the facts are there. Pep got the better of him majority of the time. I saw those games live and it was painful to watch them as a RM fan. His spell ended with him crashing and burning his relationship with pretty much all the players. He was the treble winner with Inter before taking up the RM post.

2 young players who were never given the chance, and then proved the manager wrong.

If a young player is great but the manager doesn't give him the chance, then he leaves the club and makes a name for himself, in process proving the manager wrong. No player from Chelsea's 'magnificent' academy did that. Which makes me thing that they weren't that magnificent at all, and so I cannot blame Mourinho for not giving the chance to a pack of donkies.

I think they betrayed him. This type of shit happens in football. You hurt a ring leader and he turns half the squad against you and suddenly you cant win shit. Many great managers lost their job that way

Aren't those his only goals in 22 appearances? Since when that was supposed to be excellent, especially if we are talking for a player who could have solved problems for a top club.

Jesus! The amount of spin you are trying to put on this issue :nono: It's a known fact that he barely gives academy players a chance. It's ok to accept that even if you want Jose as our manager. It's ok, really it is.

Yeah it seemed that way. Hazard, Costa, Fabregas and Terry looked like the main culprits. It happens at Chelsea quite often with the player power becoming too much to handle for some managers.

Was it obvious that Pique was going to be a top player when he was at United? Genuine question. For some reason, my memory of Pique wearing a United shirt is a total blur. Even seeing a picture of it looks weird.

I think Maureen is closer to SAF than any of our class of 92 and Moyes put together. First of all he is a sour loser and a proven winner. Secondly he is a charismatic figure who takes pressure all on himself. Finally he knows something about management

Are you serious? As fecked as a club he won the treble with?

Sign me up for that please, would love for him to feck us like that. Their problems after he left weren't his causing.

Which of the academy players he managed in Chelsea, Madrid or Inter was proven to be good? No-one at all. So, who cares that he didn't give chances to players who weren't good enough. He was there to win matches, not to turn donkeys into less donkeys.

All these posters fretting that Mourinho's going to make us 'nasty'. I hope he does. We need some grit and determination. At times, since Fergie left, even our most experience players have looked like little boys lost. A bit of fire in the belly might get us back to where we belong.

Seriously though, the last few years has made people romanticize everything to the point where they even think that our players over the fergie era just played great football and never resorted to dirty tactics and were angels or some shit. We've always had a bunch of cnuts play for us under Fergie, because Fergie knew they wouldn't take losing and would do everything necessary to turn things around and always go to win games.
If people want to watch really eye catching football, and have a team of "nice guys" with a really nice guy manager in charge, then go for Arsenal over the last 10 years. That's not at all what United have been like.

He's a centerback. Not supposed to be a goalscorer, was just mentioning the goals as an aside. They're fourth in the Bundesliga.
