He will have all the tools he needs at this club to succeed and take us back to where we belong. Admittedly His attitude can be questionable but SAF had one of the worse tempers in football at times but did us fans care? Not at all.
All I'm bothered about is the man's a proven winner and he will whip this club in shape.

I think he would do well here. Nothing much to add. His personality can be toxic but we need some of that. When teams are showing you no respect then you have lost your fear factor. If we had have hired Jose a month ago, maybe Peps arrival at City would have damped the news somewhat but it's always better to respond and Jose is pretty good.

We have always had legends who were arrogant/cocky/cnuts/etc. where as good as they were, were also well known for the type of characters they were. We already went for the supposed "nice, respectful guy" route with Moyes and we all know how badly that failed.

Whatever Pep is or isn't capable of, by turning to Mou we'll be going with the only guy who has proved he can outdo him over a 38 game season. I can happily live with that.
We might not do so well in the one off games but in the Premier League's marathon sprint, with Mou, I fancy our chances.

Mourinho developed Varane, Zouma, Johnson, Morata while also signed some relatively young players at Chelsea (Ivanovic, Cech, Kalou).
So what kind of United will we see under Mourinho? Not so much player wise but formations and style?
I wouldn't be against offering LVG a job upstairs after this. Having Sir Alex and LVG upstairs as two men Jose can talk to and cocoon himself with a sense of calm and stability would really help his reign as United manager.

You can be sure that a man with the size of Van Gaal's ego would never be able to live with the fact that he failed at United and would interfere. Not to mention that he has a good relationship with few of the players and that would create divisions between "LVG's boys" and "Mourinho's boys".
There is no room for this sort of shite.
