If we've agreed a deal with Mourinho behind Van Gaal's back it's pretty poor behaviour, regardless of how bad his performance. Simply for that reason I don't think it's a done deal as claimed.
It happened with Moyes as well and happens all the time. Sensible too.

i got no idea why anyone would tell Ballague anything, considering he then goes and sprouts it across Twatter, it's like that gossip back in School, only tell him/her some made up crap to make them look foolish for then believing and spreading it around, would never tell them true information because they would go tell everybody.
Definitely does suit agents to tell media people certain things at times, and Ballague does have connections in Spain.

It's reported Mourinho had dinner with Moratti family. Don't know if this has been said here.

One thing has struck me reading all this. It's pretty obvious that the club doesn't want the news breaking this way; Is this "leak" and surrounding media circus not another bulletpoint in the argument of those inside the club who don't want Jose?

I can imagine Sir Bobby sitting in the boardroom for Monday mornings meeting, looking smugger than Piers Morgan after a KP century.

It's fair to say ballague has his Spanish sources, but I would believe Di Marzio when it comes to mourinho. He's said this is happening and now this leak too, I think it's pretty safe to say mourinho will be here come June.

I said this the other day. If there's no deal in place then Mourinho/Mendes are probably doing their cause more harm than good with all these stories. He's effectively trying to force the clubs hand and I'm sure they won't appreciate it if they are trying to remain respectful to lvg

The strange thing is though, we could have quite easily sacked Van Gaal in December. There was justification for it and Mourinho was available. The whole mess could have been sorted by now.

I'd definitely agree with that. Although it's difficult to imagine how much drama Jose and Mendes would have to cause to outweigh the arguments against keeping Van Gaal in the role. He'd probably have to murder Cantona or something at this stage.

We have handled this entire drama in the shittiest manner possible. We could have finished top 4 easily had the call been made in Dec.

It could quite easily have been a conversation where Mourinho said "I haven't been approached yet but who else could do that job? I'm confident I'll go to Manchester".
