Barcelona vs. Manchester United

Because she's too shite to get into the 2nd week of a Grand Slam so she had her arrangements ready!

Too right! Got beaten by Hantuchova:lol:

She can afford a ticket though I suspect her agent got her one

feck mee am nervous as anything - that vid on the first page is absolutely fantastic too!

For me, the nice thing about this final is the respect that both clubs show towards each other, from the managers, to the players, to the supporters. Believe you me, the Barcelona supporters think this is going to be difficult to win, in fact the majority of them are nervous.

I have a sneaky feeling we might surprise everyone tomorrow.

Meh, they're still a bunch of histrionic fannies. Feck this respect bollocks, I'd take extra pleasure in beating them.

That's actually really good to hear. There's too much of the press and opposition fans writing us off tomorrow, I thought Barca fans would be in a similar mindset - but to know they're nervous just like us is good to know. The two clubs have always had massive respect for each other.

I am naturally a cynic and all that I hear from Barca is disrespect with their praise. It is OTT for me, even Mascherano is saying nices things, tells me they have been coached or instructed to make sure they don't same anything negative or even neutral. feck that, SAF should still play the disrespect card and edit what Messi said to the boys lol.
Damn I am something else.

Yes, it's nice. Compare this to the days before each of last four matches between Barcelona and Real.

That's one of the reasons why I wouldn't like to see Mourinho at United.

I hope Vidic is not put into a lot of this situation. Will not be good.

They just can't figure Barca out can they?

I hope the fools on RAWK recognized the fact that Owen is not playing a lot does not mean he is not helping the team, behind the scenes I am sure he is doing good scouting job of the opponent every week.

I hope Park gets every word

It's stupid to analyse one picture, but... maybe Giggs won't start tomorrow.

Don't tell me about that one where Rooney is playing against Vidic. He's got a different colour of training bib.

I've been talking to a lot of Barcelona supporters over the last week (this town is full of them), and they are genuinely nervous. They certainly are not cocky or complacent in anyway shape or form. They realise that they have a job on their hands.

Yes it is, you have a wonderful imagination.

I'll call it, it will be the same team that did Chelsea over, Rooney will play as an advanced central midfielder.

Yes, I know and also expect the same team, just wanted to make a drama, my lovely Weaste man!

Agree with this

rooney will drop deep on busquets when we dont have the ball

the difference could be the pace of hernandez - with him, valencia and rooney we will be lethal on the break

we need to play carrick and giggs - players who can pass and retain possession

That said, I have a sneaky feeling that he might be tempted to do something daft and go with a 3-5-2

Sort of like this....

----------------------------------- VDS -----------------------------------

---------------- Rio -------------- Vidic ---------- Smalling ----------------

--- Valencia ------------------------------------------------------ Nani ---

---------------- Giggs ----------- Carrick ---------- Park ------------------

-------------------- <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Rooney >>>>>>>>>>>>> ---------

-------------------------------- Hernandez --------------------------------

Why I have this feeling I don't know, but the work rate of Valencia and Park playing inside left should give cover for width. Three centre backs should defuse their ability to go down the middle. With Rooney dropping deeper, that midfield is packed snapping at their heels, whilst Hernandez with his movement and pace will keep their back line back.

I know, it's nuts!

In my head I'd been toying with something similar, with a sort of rotation on the left depending whether we're going forward or in defence. Going forward, Nani starts on the wing, Rooney in his false-nine, Park in the middle. When Nani cuts inside, Park either moves to the side to cover the rear or makes an overlapping run. In defence, Park almost becomes the fullback, with Rooney dropping back into the midfield.

In the end, though, unless Fergie's been working on something like that in secret, I don't see how he can spring it on the players and expect it to work.

That's not nuts. 19 hours.
