Espanyol can step up, right?

It is even worse than that. Apparently Negreira declared he didn't have a salary for his job as ref VP. So... the person who analyzed ref performances and decided which refs would be promoted or demotedIt's clearly illegal, or should be, it's a massive conflict of interest for Barcelona to be posting Negreira. In my line of work we're not even allowed to buy our client a drink as that would be seen as trying to influence them to stay with us and not take their business elsewhere.
Surely that has to be wrong. It is even worse than that. Apparently Negreira declared he didn't have a salary for his job as ref VP. So... the person who analyzed ref performances and decided which refs would be promoted or demoted
only earned money from Barca. I mean, he is basically a Barca employee at that point.
Then, with the money he earned from Barca he would give gifts valued in tens of thousands of euros to the refs and made huge and strange cash withdrawals we don't know why.
Almost certain there will be punishment, it seems. Like with City, I wonder what the impact will be on other clubs. I remember a great article a few years back about the effect on the other big Scottish clubs, especially Celtic, of Rangers being banished to the lower leagues. It was quite drastic; drop in energy, income, lots of unanticipated effects from the competition being less intense. In the same way Real would probably suffer from Barca being relegated or whatever.
I know, right?Surely that has to be wrong.
Thanks for the info. Makes sense, Scotland a poor comparison to be fairI am 100% sure that the manipulated dominance by Barca along with Real have held back the other organizations. Spain is almost the size of England. In Europe, it feels like Portugal 3rd and 4th rank are bigger and better than Spain’s 3rd and 4th. Cities like Bilbao and Malaga and the likes should have really strong teams besides the obvious candidates like Valencia and Seville.
Alaves makes one final in the Spanish cup, and the ref completely destroys them and hands the game to Barca.
Surely that has to be wrong.
There you go.Haha, I just saw an article of how Negreira during a chunk of this period earned “full disability” pension of €1,200. Can’t find it now to post a link. Would explain why he didn’t report any income from the CTA to the tax authorities…
I'm not sure where you are getting this. I'm pretty sure most people think Atletico Madrid are better than Portugal's 3rd. I have no idea who Portugal's 4th best team even is.In Europe, it feels like Portugal 3rd and 4th rank are bigger and better than Spain’s 3rd and 4th.

Somewhat. He was a great player regardless and i dont think people will change their opinion on his capability. But yeah, his achievements are basically void. Funny that his time at psg will probably be held in higher regard when alls said and done.Wonder how much this will hurt Messi’s legacy?

I’m just joking mate relax. I don’t hate anybody.I don't know why you hate me? I just talked and gave arguments as to why Barcelona could sign last year, I talked about the FFP and that Barcelona had no obligation to sell FDJ.
The facts proved me right and I don't know why you've taken it so badly.
Bankruptcy? If you think that, you're going to be very disappointed.
Just imagine if all the domestic titles Messi, Xavi and Iniesta had were the ones from France, Qatar and Japan respectivelyWonder how much this will hurt Messi’s legacy?
No one hates you dude. People are rightfully fecking furious with Barcelona. You'll probably eat a few stray bullets but try not to take it too personally.I don't know why you hate me? That is a bold move by UEFA.
Laporta might sue them for defamation.
Was it a kind of refs blackmailing them then? There you go.
He received €1240 monthly for disability while earning millions from Barca and earning nothing from his job as the ref VP.
Also, when Barca stopped paying him abruptly (because he was no longer the ref VP) he threatened Barca to continue the payments or he would reveal all the irregularities he knew from the club. Then he was hired by the Catalonian Football Federation for the same concept, ref reports.
You can not make this up.
I think one of the potential penalties for being found guilty is exclusion from competing for up to 5 years. Or something along them lines. No idea if that’s possible and if it were, I don’t believe there’s a snowball‘s chance in hell it’s going to happen. But I think Barca should be excluded from all competitions for many years.

That sounds about fair. And then start again from the bottom. They made a mockery of the sport. They should have to pay for it.I think one of the potential penalties for being found guilty is exclusion from competing for up to 5 years. Or something along them lines.
Thats the way i'd go. Primarily to rid the club of executives and administrators which put it in this mess all of which i'd give lifetime bans from the sport. Beyond that though ridding the sport of the club and everyone associated with it just feels an appropriate punishment for something as severe as thisShould be like American College sports, teams can get the death penalty and be essentially dismantled and forced to rebuild from scratch.
Yes, but not in the way we think. UEFA ushed into this way before there are any trials or official legal proceedings. For a scoundrel like Ceferino this is is a golden opportunity to dismantle the SuperLeague coalition once and for all. I bet you any money that behind the scenes he'll negotiate with Laporta getting him to abandon the idea and then they will say that there was nothing to see there anyway. They will just come out with "nothing to see here"
