Barca want Da Silva twins

If their interest is serious, they will get them within three years.

Im sure ive heard this rumour a few years back, doubt there is any truth in it though.

Perhaps this is why we are scouting that dubachy guy :nervous:

I could see Fabio leaving if he doesn't get games but the twins seem to happy to be with us, I'd be very surprised if they weren't loyal. Same with Hernandez.

Losing any of those 3 would be quite painful

Barca have been linked to tearing open our ribcage and feasting on our vital organs. If there interest is serious we will be devoured in three years.

The lure of Barca could be quite difficult to turn down for these kids. Like Ian Brown said Manchester has everything except a beach :(

First I've ever heard of it...Doubt there's any truth to it although Rosell has some sort Brasilian obsession

Hmm, I've never really considered the idea that they might leave in the nearish future. Can't see it to be honest.

Wonder if it will be a case of "oh they're fit thanks to the super spanish technique enhancing drugs?"

It's not Real - it's Barca.

Well it all depends. It will be tempting for both, their position at Barcelona wouldn't be any weaker than it is at United right now if they moved with Alves getting older and Abidal having health issues (being on the wrong side of 30 as well) and it depends on if they really believe they will make it here. Rafael has been benched a lot in the past few months and Ferguson prefered Jones and Smalling over him, Fabio virtually never steps in to replace Evra so it's really a bit tough for both of them. They could make it if they have patience but as someone in the other thread has said recently, how long do you reckon they will stick with us without being first team players?

why would they want to go so soon, Rafael IMO is our first-choice right-back when fit, Fabio is behind Evra, but thats not a shame..no players is going to be assured of their first-team place at United, the twins have also been unlucky with their injuries and that has stall their progress a little.

Evra is 30 and Rafael is our only designated right back, why the feck would they want to leave? By all accounts they love it in Manchester and at United.

I hate that kind of comment.

Pessimistic but intelligent, I can tolerate. Pessimistic and stupid- not so much.

England vs Spain to the average brazilian footballer:

Food: Spain
Culture: Spain
Weather: Spain
Probability that their idol are playing or have played for Barca/Madrid (ronaldo, roberto carlos, rivaldo, romaria, errr): 90%

Foreign club they dream of: Barca/Madrid, Manchester United and the rest of the top clubs

Fact: compare the number of Brazilian top players that have plied their trade in la liga vs the premier league over the past however many years. Coincidence? Ronaldinho knew where to go to as soon as Barca came calling. And they were shite back then.
All that plus we're talking about the club that has been playing the best football since a long time and the lure of playing amongst players that are future legends.

Yeah I've clearly not given it a thought. If they are as serious about them as with Fabregas or come anywhere close to Madrid's fascination with Ronaldo? Chances are, we as a big club can delay the sale like we did with Ronaldo, but in the end it will come down to player power.

I'm not so sure many disagree with my opinion either. They do not like the way I put it maybe, but most of them know it's a realistic scenario.
