Classy club.
Problem is how can they sell them ? Most of them are on big contracts, they won’t want a pay cut. And those who aren’t on a big contract are probably not the one you would sell for the future of the club.
They are fecked.
I'd love Frenkie De Jong here.Said before and I’ll say again - I believe they can be bullied into selling Frenkie. And I’d love Woody to do the bullying.
He should be on the highest wage in the world for his value for sure, but if he wants to play for a certain club, and more importantly win with a certain club then he needs to made accommodations as well, otherwise he would be off to china or russia or suadi. Why are people criticising Messi for knowing his value? No one is forcing the Barca board to actually meet his demands and they have made the decision that he is worth it.

Aye. It has the feel of Micah Richards at Villa. I suspect that after Umtiti leaves Barca and the dust has settled a bit the story will be told that it was felt he was no longer capable of playing football at that level due to the knee issues. Barca won't say that now as they'd like to shift his wage, Umtiti won't admit it because he probably doesn't accept it and he's not going to harm his own chances of getting a deal elsewhere, but Umtiti of a few years ago would have found a very good club, even on the sort of wages he's on.Barca have been trying to shift Umtiti for years to be fair, they've known he's a busted flush for a long time. I do think he's seemingly happy to just stick about and take the money as no other top club would go anywhere near him at this point.
Menos que un clubClassy club.
Pjanic would be a fantastic signing for us. No brainer on a free. Apparently, Spurs are sniffing around.
Menos que un club
it can go hand in hand though, no? Messi being a greedy prick and Barca being a shambles of a club isn't necessarily mutually exclusive.
Wait before the Messi fanboys try to justify how Messi deserves it and Barca should go at any lengths to keep him even if it means asking other players to take a wage cut or leave the club regardless of their contracts. This guy is greedy af.Yeh, tell messi to get in line with the rest of the squad in regards to pay or do one. No player is bigger than the club. Messi is damaging Barcelona needs to go to PSG for all the oil money he can get.
He was pushing to leave just last season, it’s Barca who is trying to keep him there at all cost.Wait before the Messi fanboys try to justify how Messi deserves it and Barca should go at any lengths to keep him even if it means asking other players to take a wage cut or leave the club regardless of their contracts. Are people not aware of how awful umtiti and pjanic are? They’ve been trying to dump them since January. Umtiti flat out refuses to leave
Barca gave him the contract. He’s entitled to stay and collect his pay. Just like you said Messi is.

His demands aren't his value they're obscene.
And there it isan insanely dumb take
If he genuinely wanted out last season then you'd assume he won't renew now, right? I mean, nobody's forcing him.Messi wanted out last season, Barcelona didn't let him rather forced him to stay by put a 700 millions release clause trigger.
But somehow it is Messi's fault.
The blind hatred is hilarious, but if anyone question that, that person is Messi fanboy.

Its not a direct comparison because of differences in wage structures in the sports but, in basketball The best players in the world who can take max contracts sometimes will lower their demands in order to facilitate the team being able to put better players around them and have a better chance of winning. If messi wants to continue winning, he needs to understand the environment he's currently in. what's the point of being paid a million pounds a week at barcelona, if you have to play with absolute dross because all your mates have been sacked due to your wage demands? If you only care about money feck off elsewhere and earn more.
Yeah, this is a good point. Tom Brady (NFL) for instance could've ranked in a load more cash if he had wanted too but decided that, even though he was within his rights to take massive contracts, it was better for him to take less in order to win more titles.
That guy is essentially the CR7/Messi of American football.
