Bangladesh v India-First Test

Aye.

Both absolute sitters.

Very disappointed with this situation. If we'd had both our pacers fit and made the seemingly obvious decision to bat first, this series might have been up for grabs.

I can't fecking believe he decided to bowl first.

I feel like breaking something.

Good day. Tendulkar was playing too safe for my liking but the other batsman impressed. The two guys that retired hurt can still come back and bat if needed right?

Still can't beleive we lost to this fecking team in the world cup in the form of the game we are supposedly better at.

We beat New Zealand and South Africa and nearly beat the English but for spastic batting, so clearly we're miles better at that form of the game too.

You should be more concerned about how you let us take 14 wickets in the first test despite 3 clear LBWs being turned down by the umpire.

If it's any consolation, you'll win this one by an innings and 400 runs.

The wickets in the second innings were because of aggressive batting due to the rain. We set you lot a decent target but It was pretty gay how Bangladesh basically gave up the chase after a few wickets fell.

Those minimum 43 overs were actually 35 given the over-rate and the light. Chasing 250 odd in 43 overs is nigh on impossible without fielding restrictions in test cricket, but attempting it in 35 overs was always out of a question.

A lot of journalists don't seem to be acknowledging this fact when banging on about how generous the declaration was.

I'd still have liked to have seen Mortaza moved up the order to try and hit some sixes though.

Oh and don't forget the overcast conditions in the first test.

The ball did bugger all after the shine went off it. As flat a pitch as you'll ever see... in fact, at one stage you could see a clear reflection of the batmaker's logo on the surface.

We did well to keep you under 400, especially considering the piss-poor umpiring.

feck me, he's 6'4. They'd want to keep an eye on how many overs they give him. We ruined the career of our best ever fast bowling prospect by making him spearhead our test attack when he was in his teens.

Although I suspect he's only 18 thanks to a creative interpretation of what 'Date of Birth' means.

Ahh, subcontinent cricket.

Meet Mir Jafar folks.

One of many Bengalis who made better leaders than Habibul Bashar.

Yes, well in fairness to him, his innings was a fine effort in this heat given his condition.

The kiss of death. Dravid out and India fall 6 runs short of a new world record opening stand.

another 100 runs should be enough. Tendulkar will definitely not slog untilhe gets his century.

Only 3 fours in his 63. Very disappointing. I didn't see the six he hit. Hopefully he'll push things a bit.

If we get 25-27 overs in the next session we should definitely be looking to get more than 100 runs. Around 575.

What the feck was that! What a shitty session. 3.44 **. They better declare now. No point in batting for another half hour after tea. Get the shine off the ball quick and give it to Kumble.

I've decided to have a sense of humour about this.

Oh the humour of it all.

Ishant Sharma???????

Mehro who is he??

I've never heard of him before.

He's an 18 year old lad, and 6'4. Built like a toothpick at this stage though, really skinny.

He's been bowling 130-135 so far. Has a similar action to Ajit Agarkar. Seems to be able to get some away movement.

Can't complain too much about the dismissals though, the balls that dismissed Omar and Ashraful kept really low while the one that got Bashar bounced half a metre higher than expected.

This pitch is clearly going to be a nightmare to bat on tomorrow.

Sharif negotiates the last over despite being in obvious distress after a beautiful yorker from Sharma hit him on the toe.

There'll be no stopping us now.

Any idea why he is in ahead of the likes of Nehra, agarkar, pathan??

Match is as good as over unless we have another wash-out

Because you're playing Bangladesh...

He has a good wrist position and will develop into a very handy seamer. That height is a huge advantage too.

He won't be in the team again for a while though.

Think Nehra's been injured forever and hasn't done enough domestically to be called back. pathan's been dropped and Agarker will probably be called back for tour to England. Munaf's also injured. I don't really know what's happened to Sreesanth and Balaji though.

Sreesanth was in the squad. I think he might have picked up an injury,
