Balotelli signs for Liverpool - Official

The shirt swap is the straw that broke the camels back. He's like a child that has to be told every 5 minutes because he can't (or refuses) to engage his brain and think for 2 seconds. Don't do this Mario, next time don't do that Mario, that's not the best idea Mario.

Grow the feck up.

So he's like this guy, except nowhere near as lovable.

Rodgers knew what he was doing when he bought Balotelli.

If the guy turned out good, Rodgers would've got the plaudits for doing what Mancini and Mourinho couldn't do.

If he turned out to be underwhelming, he becomes a good distraction away from how badly the team are doing, as this ridiculous shirt swapping nonsense is showing.

Indeed. It was always going to be a gamble signing him but what made Rodgers think he could succeed when far better men (Mancini and Jose) failed?

It's hilarious that they bought him. You know you're shite when the general public and even the pundits are sitting saying "why did Liverpool buy him?"

Yeah, I couldn't give less of a feck.

Didn't RvP do it at some point? Or was it someone else? Definitely an Arsenal player. I think?

I remember being equally bemused by the outrage at the time.

I'm not sure it's a fan thing though, more about what it says to your team mates. I does kind of say 'I'm coming off, so I'll just switch off and act like I'm already out of here'. It's about keeping the team bonding, all in it together ethos. I can understand why a manager or a team mate wouldn't like it. Everyone trains hard all week just for those 90 minutes, and someone's treating it like a bit of a day out.

Are you assuming Rodgers thinks Mancini and Jose are better men?

Say what you want about Mourinho, but pretty much every player who has played under him speaks very highly of him - he gets the best out all the different personalities he's managed. He called Balotelli unmanageable.
That should have been a pretty strong warning.
Not the end of the world as some other mug will buy him for £10m or so. He'll probably end up in Turkey, score 10 penalties in a season and be called a superstar again.........

Apparently said he will "f*cking kill her" if she didn't stop snapping photographs.

Ohh mario!!

It says threatened but the report says he just walked 'threateningly close' to her and asked her to stop taking pictures. What the feck is 'threateningly close'? Seriously, why do people waste the police's time with crap like this?

Threateningly close is either nose to nose, or approached her personal space in an intimidating manner.

To think that Liverpool could have had Loic Remy but Rodgers panicked and pulled the plug on the deal at the last second. Rodgers must be kickicking himself that he went for panic buy Balotteli instead.

Balotteli is made for a club like Celtic or Galatasary.

Very very enjoyable to see him struggle so much at Anfield. The scousers were getting ahead of themselves with last seasons success so its nice to see them go all quiet again.

So he probably just walked up to her and told her to stop taking pictures, possibly with a few expletives thrown in there, and walked off. It seems like a huge waste of police time to me.

Great shout. Could definitely see him having a short stint there. Maybe between Juventus and Newcastle. Followed by Lyon perhaps. Maybe Schalke.

I see him ending career with Pune FC in Indian super league.

I find it somehow funny that some of the Pool supporters are surprised of what Balotelli does on and off the pitch. It's like being angry at the fat kid that just ate the pie.

Funny thing is everyone (bar Liverpool fans) predicted that this move would end in an absolute disaster, which is funny because I think the word deluded gets thrown in their direction too much but fecking hell they keep giving us reason to use it!

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers may sell striker Mario Balotelli in January following dismal results

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...elli-in-January-following-dismal-results.html

From that article,

The Liverpool manager is accepting full responsibility for signing the £16 million striker, and is prepared to take the necessary steps if a mistake has been made.

Haven't the dippers been claiming it wasn't his signing, it was made by a "panel" and forced upon Brentan?

I suppose we don't have much to laugh about given our £27m adventure with Fellani.
Fellaini showed more in one half than Balotelli has this season. Not saying Fellaini is great or hiding the fact that it was horrible business but it actually could work out a better deal considering how quickly Balotelli has gone to shit.

That being said, he's going to score against us in December isn't he?!

Yes he will, much like Welbeck will - even @ItsEssexRob could make money on that certainty.

A lot of the nonsense about Mario since the Madrid game seems petty, but even with the problems predicted right from the word go, things are falling apart faster for them than even I expected. It'll be interesting to see him with Sturridge, though expectations on him once he returns from injury seem to get bigger by the day it seems.

Assuming he'll play, I think he'll improve when Sturridge comes back. The whole team will.

He needed to start well I think. The fact it has started like this is bad, he doesn't seem to have the mentality to be able to turn it around. He'll just sulk and play-up until he is sold.

I actually feel he's being scapegoated for Liverpool's poor start to the season.

You buy a player like Balotelli you can't turn on him because he swaps shirts with Pepe at half time (are Real treating Pepe the same?)! That's what Balotelli does, he's a character, we all know that.

This is a club who wore T-Shirts of support when one of their players racially abused another player - and stood by him after he bit an opposition player!

I don't really see what he's done wrong other than be plonked into a system that doesn't suit him and asked to play a role that's beyond him.

Rodgers should be being asked why he signed him and why he isn't getting better out of him, but instead the 'play for the shirt' phrases start coming out...

Balotelli might be a plonker at times but he's done feck all wrong at Liverpool so far other than not being good enough.

He's definitely copping more flak than the defence (who are the real issue).
