Ish
Lights on for Luke
Feels like history repeating himself here.
But he hasn't. Any player who has shared a dressing room appears to love him. As Brad Friedel said it's his fall out with Mancini that's created this false perception.
So he's been a colossal shitstack on the pitch? Hardly. That's an exaggeration.I'm talking about on the pitch.

Really? My initial post already proving to be true.
Poor lads just been a victim of the media hounding him out of Italy, then England, then Italy again. So he's been a colossal shitstack on the pitch? Hardly. That's an exaggeration.
Or...he's been a victim of multi-million pound transfers that's led him to multiple trophies. Poor thing.Poor lads just been a victim of the media hounding him out of Italy, then England, then Italy again.
Bring out the race card please.

ouch!Yeah, got to feel sorry for him there. On the bright side at least that all behind him now.
I actually like Balotelli as a character, he's not snide or slimy like Suarez was. It'll be interesting to see how he steps up if Sturridge is out for a while.
One thing I always wonder with Balotelli is if he's possibly older than stated. He's always looked about 5 years older than his stated age to me.
When you see his face close up in natural light photos he doesn't look like a guy who turned 24 last month.
ouch indeedYeah, got to feel sorry for him there. On the bright side at least that all behind him now.
Huh?I actually like Balotelli as a character, he's not snide or slimy like Suarez was. It'll be interesting to see how he steps up if Sturridge is out for a while.

Is he?He was born in Italy and he grew up in Italy. When exactly is he supposed to have started to fake his identitu? You're only making such an assumption based on his skin colour. That is absolutely idiotic.

I thought that, his age is what was in question. Is he?

I agree, his Jekyll and Hyde character is hyped up so much that it gives the impression that he's much more talented that he actually is.Does anyone else not feel Balotelli is overrated? It seems since he came back everyone is going on about him being uber talented although other than score the odd decent goal in a flourishing City side at that time, I don't remember him being particularly special (ignoring all the bad stuff he brings with him).
I don't think he is a bad player, I just think he is talked up a fair bit.
Hopefully. The same way Sturridge was.Mario and liverpool. Made for each other.

But the likelihood is that he's 24.I'm really not basing it on his skin colour, I'm just basing it on his face like I said! I hate that every African origin player's age is put into question after Mourinho's daft phone call.
I just think Balotelli looks older than just turned 24. I've always thought he looks older than his stated age.
Hopefully. The same way Sturridge was.
Go into the Sturridge thread in Jan 2013 and there's lots of similar comments in terms of ability, being selfish, not being good enough and having a poor attitude.
If there's a club squeezing out the best of its attacking players right now it's Liverpool. Balotelli is made for Liverpool in that respect.
If there's one sure thing on the Caf over the past year or so it's to assume the opposite will happen to what's being projected with regard to Liverpool's fate.
Are you one of those who demanded Obama's birth certificate?I actually like Balotelli as a character, he's not snide or slimy like Suarez was. It'll be interesting to see how he steps up if Sturridge is out for a while.

To be accurate, that was a thing on here for 18 months.Aye just like when most of us said Suarez is going and look how that turned out...
Are you one of those who demanded Obama's birth certificate?
Ah, so those that said he'd go meant he would definitely go in the very next window. Right. To be accurate, that was a thing on here for 18 months.
You aren't getting yourself out of the metaphorical hole you just dug.I'm not racist, no. Though as a black Englishman I do understand racism, and, for what it's worth I have a great deal of respect for Balotelli's utter refusal to accept racism on the pitch. Ironic that he replaces Suarez in that sense.
I was just saying that to me, Balotelli has always looked older than his stated age. It has nothing to do with his skin colour, and as I've stated numerous times, I like Balotelli as a character.
If it helps, I have a good friend who's Polish (a white guy), raised in Manchester, who was fostered and later adopted. When he met up with his real father he learned that he was 2 years older than he and his adopted family had always believed - he was 30 rather than 28.
With the extreme money that's on offer in professional football, I'd be surprised if there weren't a handful of players in each top league who are older than is stated. I think the same about most arenas where youth defines worth - the entertainment industry for example. I'm cynical like that, much to the amusement of my family and friends.
Ah, so those that said he'd go meant he would definitely go in the very next window. Right.
So the prediction that Suarez would leave was wrong? Is it a victory for those that claimed he wouldn't.... that he went the next summer after ?Have a look at the Suarez thread last summer.
Of course they did. Go back to Spring 2013 and this place was very much telling us that Suarez was leaving that summer.Ah, so those that said he'd go meant he would definitely go in the very next window. Right.
