I've just got this feeling we will end up with Willian but very late in the window and with us paying a ridiculous fee of circa £60m. Chelsea rejected Barcelona's 3rd bid of £55m before they moved onto Malcom. Considering they rejected that bid and with us being a direct domestic rival, it won't be surprising if they want at least £65m from us, which could end up easily being £70m because it's so late in the window and United will just panic buy!
Willian is not my first choice RW option, I would rather sign players like Perisic who I assume would cost around the same, or even Pulisic, Bailey or Dembele, who at this moment in time are not as good as Willian but are far from the finished article and players with immense potential. You could also argue we need the finished article right now and not a player who is still young and may never reach their full potential, so Willian would then make more sense.
I would take Willian because by the looks of it, everything seems a mess in terms of our transfer activities and
I would rather sign Willian than go ANOTHER season without a RW! Willian is a clear and obvious upgrade to the options we have right now at RW. He will definitely improve us and give us more balance, he is a natural RW, whereas Lingard, Mata, Rashford etc are not. His work rate is exceptional, knows Mourinho's style and Mourinho knows what he will bring just like Matic. Premier League proven, in his prime and I think he would give us at least 2-3 years of quality service. Pacey and direct winger who can beat his man unlike most of our options on the right. He also has a wicked free-kick in him too
