18-year old left-footed CB/CM has joined the club from Arsenal.
Obi Martin is a United fanWould be good to know what made a North London boy leave the Arsenal academy at a time when Arsenal's prospects look far brighter to join Manchester United. Same can be asked for Chido Obi Martin's case too.
Just guessing, but maybe it's because we are so far behind they see an easier route into uniteds team. Arsenal's squad is relatively young in the areas that both players play in.Would be good to know what made a North London boy leave the Arsenal academy at a time when Arsenal's prospects look far brighter to join Manchester United. It's all well and good that Arsenal are doing well, but it doesn't really matter for the development of Obi and Heaven if they're not in the squad. There seems to be more of a pathway into the first team squad at United currently.Would be good to know what made a North London boy leave the Arsenal academy at a time when Arsenal's prospects look far brighter to join Manchester United. You underestimate the Caf at your perilWelcome to Heaven. Hope to see you make great strides here. And… It’s the last pun on your name you will ever see in the Caf.

Think he wants to play midfield and Arsenal want him to be a cb.So he’s from the area, an arsenal fan, and he’s joining a team that are 12th, have 6 centre backs already including one that’s the same age as him who cost €60m.
Have we offered him big wages or something?

Oh right, so he isn’t really a CB at all. That makes more sense.Think he wants to play midfield and Arsenal want him to be a cb.
What makes you think so? Not saying you are not right, would just be confusing to why he'd sign? We're also going to use him as a centreback.
More than Arsenal were offering and a hard sell about a pathway into first team football I would imagineWould be good to know what made a North London boy leave the Arsenal academy at a time when Arsenal's prospects look far brighter to join Manchester United. I mean Lindelof and Evans will leave. Maguire is the wrong side of 30 and may still leave if we decide not to offer a new contract. So he’s from the area, is an arsenal fan, and yet he’s joining a team that are 12th, have 6 centre backs already, including one that’s the same age as him who cost €60m.

“I am incredibly proud to join Manchester United. I’m grateful to everyone who helped make this dream a reality.
“There is so much that I want to achieve in the game, I’ll be giving everything to continue my development and become the best player that I can be.”
“We are delighted that Ayden has joined Manchester United. He is already an extremely talented defender who is ready to join our first-team squad in order to maximise his development.
“This club has a phenomenal track record of supporting young players and we believe that Ayden is in the perfect place to reach his excellent potential.”
What makes you think so? Not saying you are not right, would just be confusing to why he'd sign?
Hard to gauge how good he is from Arsenal fans because they either sound bitter or not fussed that he’s gone.
Unless he was super cheap, surely his position isn't a priority? Unless he's a diamond in the rough that has massive potential
We need a bloody striker that can actually score goals we have several CBs
If he is going straight into training with the first team, he’s joining the first team squad, so he’ll be playing for the first team, the below is from United’s website:So he’ll be training with the first team from the off? I’d imagine he’ll get game time in the u21s though.
Fair enough. Not sure he’s ready for the first team yet though to be fair. Quite an hard position for a youngster to come into. It’s not like an attacking position where it’s easier for youngsters to break through. If he is going straight into training with the first team, he’s joining the first team squad, so he’ll be playing for the first team, the below is from United’s website:
“ Heaven has signed a contract until June 2029, with the option of an additional year, and he will immediately join United’s first-team squad.”
On his wiki it says he’s also capable of playing box to box midfielder.
